Question: Can a pregnant woman get married?

Answer: If a woman becomes pregnant while in a legal Muslim marriage, she is released from the bonds of marriage only after the birth of a child and, therefore, cannot marry.

And if the conception occurred outside of marriage (nikah), then you can get married while pregnant.

Question: Is it possible to steal a girl if she doesn't want to marry me? I love her.

Question: Can alcohol be used for medical purposes? For example, if the medicine needs to be infused with alcohol and drink a tablespoon a day?

Answer: The use of impurities, which include any intoxicating liquid, is strictly prohibited. The only exception would be to use it for unbearable hunger for the sake of saving a life or for treatment when there is no legal alternative.

Question: Does prayer count without a ghusl (great ablution)?

Answer: If you find yourself in a situation after which, according to Shariah, you must necessarily bathe, for example, you have made intimacy with your wife, then for the validity of the prayer you need to bathe. Having performed a prayer without ablution, you will fall into sin, and the prayer you performed will be invalid.

Question: My husband and I do not live together, there have been no intimate relationships for 9 months now. Two months ago I gave birth from him, and a week ago he gave me a second talaq. Today he came with a friend and said that he was returning me.

Am I considered his wife after my return or do we need to update the nikah with a new mahr?

Answer: According to the Shafi'i madhhab, the lack of intimacy between spouses does not dissolve the marriage. If you were given a divorce (the husband said the words of divorce) before the birth of the child, then with the birth of the child, the marriage between you breaks up. Since only a week has passed since the words of divorce were pronounced, your husband has the right to return you. There is no need to renew the marriage (nikah), his words “I have returned you” are enough, and from that moment you are again considered husband and wife.

Question: Please tell me, is it possible according to Islam to change an engagement ring for another one, that is, to sell it and take another one or exchange it for a new one? And is it possible to change it not once, but two or three times? I've heard it's supposedly a bad omen. Is this true or is it just a superstition? I would like to know how Sharia relates to this. Thank you in advance!

Answer: In Islam, there is no such thing as a wedding ring, Muslims adopted this tradition from the Gentiles, so there is no prohibition or censure in changing the ring or taking it off.

I want to draw your attention to the fact that a man cannot wear gold jewelry, including a gold ring.

Question: Lately I've been seeing wolves in my dreams, what could that mean? I see them not at home, but in the mountains or in a clearing, I walked with them, as if I were one of them, and they came up to me and played. What could this mean?

It was very interesting to see a prayer for Muslims on your website. There are many Muslims among my acquaintances, but I have never been interested in their system of prayers and conditions. I didn’t know many nuances, now I understand why they mostly have cats and not dogs at home) thanks for translating prayers from Arabic into Russian. An amazing religion with centuries of history and culture!

I am from Uzbekistan and I have a lot of religious friends and relatives. I never gave much thought to their prayers. I myself am not particularly a goer to church, but still. It turns out that so many interesting things can be learned from their prayers! Now I am more familiar with their traditions and customs. Thanks a lot!

Muslim prayers

Muslim prayers are the basis of the life of every true believer. With their help, any believer maintains contact with the Almighty. The Muslim tradition provides not only the obligatory five times daily prayers, but also personal appeals to God at any time, through the reading of the dua. For a pious Muslim, praying both in joy and in sorrow is a characteristic feature of a righteous life. No matter what difficulties the faithful face, he knows that Allah always remembers him and will protect him if he prays to him and glorifies the Almighty.

The Quran is the holy book of the Muslim people

The Koran is the main book in the Muslim religion, it is the basis of the Muslim faith. The name of the holy book comes from the Arabic word "reading aloud", it can also be translated as "edification". Muslims are very sensitive to the Koran and believe that the holy book is the direct speech of Allah, and it has existed forever. According to the law of Islam, the Quran can only be taken in clean hands.

The faithful believe that the Koran was written down by the disciples of Muhammad from the words of the prophet himself. And the transfer of the Koran to believers was carried out through the angel Jabrail. Muhammad's first revelation came when he was 40 years old. After that, for 23 years he received other revelations at different times and in different places. The latter was received by him in the year of his death. All the suras were written down by the companions of the prophet, but for the first time they were put together after the death of Muhammad - during the reign of the first caliph Abu Bakr.

For some time, Muslims used separate suras in order to pray to Allah. Only after Osman became the third Caliph did he order the systematization of individual records and the creation of a single book (644-656). Collected together, all the suras made up the canonical text of the holy book, which has survived unchanged to this day. The systematization was carried out in the first place, according to the records of Muhammad's companion - Zayd. According to legend, it was in this order that the prophet bequeathed the suras for use.

During the day, every Muslim should pray five times:

  • Morning prayer is performed in the period from dawn to sunrise;
  • The midday prayer is performed during the period when the sun is at its zenith until the moment when the length of the shadows reaches their height;
  • The evening prayer is read from the moment when the length of the shadows reaches their height until sunset;
  • Prayer at sunset is performed in the period from sunset to the moment when the evening dawn goes out;
  • Prayers at dusk are read between the evening and morning dawn.

This five times prayer is called prayer. In addition, there are other prayers in the Koran that the faithful can read at any time if necessary. Islam offers prayers for all occasions. For example, Muslims often use prayer to repent of sins. Special prayers are read before eating and when leaving or entering the house.

The Koran consists of 114 chapters, which are revelations and are called suras. Each sura includes separate short statements that reveal the aspect of divine wisdom - verses. There are 6500 of them in the Koran. At the same time, the second sura is the longest, it has 286 verses. On average, each individual verse contains from 1 to 68 words.

The meaning of the suras is very diverse. There are biblical stories, mythological scenes and descriptions of certain historical events. Great importance in the Qur'an is given to the fundamentals of Islamic law.

For ease of reading, the holy book is divided as follows:

  • Into thirty parts of approximately the same size - juz;
  • Into sixty smaller parts - hizbs.

To simplify the reading of the Qur'an during the week, there is also a conditional division into seven manazils.

The Quran, as the sacred scripture of one of the most significant world religions, contains advice and instructions necessary for a believer. The Qur'an allows each person to communicate directly with God. But despite this, people sometimes forget what they should do and how they should live right. Therefore, the Koran prescribes to obey the divine laws and the will of God himself.

How to read Muslim prayers correctly

It is recommended to perform prayer in a place specially designated for prayer. But this condition must be met only if there is such a possibility. Men and women pray separately. If this is not possible, then the woman should not say the prayer words aloud so as not to distract the man.

A prerequisite for prayer is ritual purity, therefore, before prayer, ablution is mandatory. The praying person should be dressed in clean clothes and face the Muslim shrine of the Kaaba. He must have a sincere intention to pray.

Muslim prayer is performed on your knees on a special rug. It is in Islam that much attention is paid to the visual design of prayer. For example, the soles of the feet while pronouncing the sacred words must be kept in such a way that the socks are not directed in different directions. Hands should be crossed on the chest. It is necessary to bow so that the legs do not bend, and the feet remain straight.

The earthly bow must be performed as follows:

  • Get on your knees;
  • bend over;
  • kiss the floor;
  • Freeze for a certain time in this position.

Any prayer - an appeal to Allah, should sound confident. But at the same time, you should understand that the solution of all your problems depends on God.

Muslim prayers can only be used by the faithful. But if you need to pray for a Muslim, then you can do this with the help of an Orthodox prayer. But it should be remembered that this can only be done at home.

But even in this case, it is necessary to add the words at the end of the prayer:

It is necessary to perform prayer only in Arabic, but all other prayers are allowed to be read in translation.

Below is an example of performing the morning prayer in Arabic and translated into Russian:

  • The prayer turns towards Mecca and begins the prayer with the words: “Allahu Akbar”, which means: “Allah is the Greatest.” This phrase is called "takbir". After that, the worshiper folds his hands on his chest, while the right hand should be on top of the left.
  • Next, the Arabic words “A`uzzu3 billaḣi mina-shshaytani-rrajim” are pronounced, which means “I turn to Allah for protection from the damned shaitan.”
  • Surah al-Fatiha is then read:

You should know that if any Muslim prayer is read in Russian, then it is imperative to delve into the meaning of the phrases spoken. It is very useful to listen to audio recordings of Muslim prayers in the original, downloading them for free from the Internet. This will help you learn how to pronounce prayers correctly with the right intonation.

Variants of Arabic prayers

In the Quran, Allah says to the faithful: "Call Me with dua - and I will help you." Dua means "prayer" in translation. And this way is one of the types of worship to Allah. With the help of the dua, the faithful cry out to Allah and turn to God with certain requests, both for themselves and for their loved ones. For any Muslim, dua is considered a very powerful weapon. But at the same time, it is very important that any prayer comes from the heart.

Dua from corruption and evil eye

Islam completely denies magic, so witchcraft is considered a sin. Dua from corruption and the evil eye is perhaps the only way to protect yourself from negativity. You need to read such appeals to Allah at night, from midnight to dawn.

The best place to turn to Allah with a dua from corruption and the evil eye is the desert. But, it is clear that this is not a prerequisite. This is commonly believed, because in such a place a believer can absolutely retire and no one and nothing will interfere with communication with God. To read the dua from corruption and the evil eye, a separate room in the house, which no one will enter, is quite suitable.

An important condition: this type of dua should be read only if you are sure that you have a negative impact. If you are haunted by minor failures, then you should not pay attention to them, since they can be sent to you from heaven as retribution for any misconduct.

The evil eye and damage will help to overcome effective duas:

  • The first sura of the Qur'an Al-Fatih, consisting of 7 verses;
  • 112 suras of the Qur'an Al-Ikhlas, consisting of 4 verses;
  • 113 suras of the Qur'an Al-Falyak, consisting of 5 verses;
  • 114 sura of the Qur'an An-Nas.

Conditions for reading a dua from corruption and evil eye:

  • The text must be read in the original language;
  • During the action, you should hold the Koran in your hands;
  • During prayer, you need to be in a sound and sober mind, in no case, before you start praying, do not drink alcohol;
  • Thoughts during the prayer ritual should be pure, and the mood positive. You need to give up the desire to take revenge on your offenders;
  • It is impossible to interchange the places of the above suras;
  • It is necessary to carry out the ritual of getting rid of damage at night during the week.

The first sura is the opening one. It glorifies God:

The text of the prayer is as follows:

Surah Al-Ihlyas deals with human sincerity, eternity, as well as the power and superiority of Allah over everything on the sinful earth.

112 sura of the Qur'an Al-Ikhlyas:

The words of the dua are as follows:

In Surah Al-Falyak, the believer asks Allah to give the whole world a dawn that will be a salvation from everything dashing. Prayer words help to get rid of all negativity and expel evil spirits.

113 surah of the Qur'an Al-Falyak:

The words of the prayer are:

Surah An-Nas contains prayer words concerning all people. By pronouncing them, the believer begs for protection from Allah for himself and his relatives.

114 surah of the Qur'an An-Nas:

The words of the prayer sound like this:

Dua for cleansing the house

In the life of every person, the house occupies a significant place. Therefore, housing always needs reliable protection at all levels. There are certain surahs in the Qur'an that will allow this to be done.

The Quran contains a very strong universal prayer-amulet from the Prophet Muhammad, which must be said in the morning and evening every day. It can be conditionally considered a prophylactic, as it will protect the believer and his house from shaitans and other evil spirits.

Listen to the dua for cleansing the house:

In Arabic, the prayer sounds like this:

This prayer is translated as follows:

Ayat 255 Al-Kursi of Surah Al-Baqarah is considered the most powerful for protecting the house. Its text has a deep meaning with a mystical orientation. In this verse, in accessible words, the Lord speaks to people about Himself, he points out that He cannot be compared with anything, and with anyone in the world he created. Reading this verse, a person reflects on its meaning and comprehends its meaning. When pronouncing prayer words, the heart of the believer is filled with sincere conviction and faith that Allah will help him resist the evil machinations of Satan and protect his house.

The words of the prayer are as follows:

Translation into Russian sounds like this:

Muslim prayer for good luck

The Quran contains a lot of suras that are used as prayers for good luck. They can be used every day. In this way, you can protect yourself from all sorts of domestic troubles. There is a saying that you should cover your mouth while yawning. Otherwise, the devil can penetrate you and start harming you. In addition, one should remember the advice of the Prophet Muhammad - in order for adversity to bypass a person, you need to keep your own body in ritual purity. It is believed that an angel protects a pure person and asks Allah for mercy for him.

Before reading the next prayer, it is imperative to conduct a ritual washing.

The text of the prayer in Arabic is as follows:

This prayer will help to cope with any difficulties and bring good luck into the life of a believer.

Its text translated into Russian is as follows:

You can choose surahs from the Koran according to their content, listening to your own intuition. It is important to pray in full concentration, realizing that the will of Allah must be obeyed.

QUESTION: Assalamualaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, Meiram!
Thank you very much for your site. There is no need to search other sites looking for the information you need. Your site alone is enough, subhanallah, here you can find answers to all your questions. And do not leave a single question without attention, give a complete answer.
I have two questions: 1) regarding adhan and iqamah. One sister said that immediately after the birth of a child, she herself (i.e., a woman in labor) said the adhan and iqamah. I think it's wrong. Because a woman after childbirth cannot accept either taharat or ghusl. Is it possible to pronounce the adhan without a ghusl? Please explain. Can the mother of the child still in the maternity hospital say the adhan and iqamat.
2) Familiar Muslim sisters do not always make ghusl after sexual intercourse, believing that it is a sin to miss prayer and read it. And I miss the prayer, not being able to take the ghusl. What is more sinful, to read the prayer without the ghusl or skipping the prayer. The question is, of course, wrong. I understand that this is not possible either way. But now I cannot read namaz without a ghusl and my prayers are skipped.
Thanks in advance. Lily

ANSWER: wa alaikum as salaam wa rahmatullahi wa baryakatuha sister!

Thank you very much for your trust and for the kind words! I answer:

1) If there were no men nearby or there was no one to say adhan and iqamah, there is nothing wrong with the fact that the mother herself said them in the ear of her child. In this case, the presence of ablution is not necessary, because. adhan and iqamah can be said without ablution in such cases. But at the same time, there are some nuances in these matters, for example, before prayer, the adhan can be pronounced without wudu, and iqamah cannot be done without wudu, because. after iqamah, fard prayer begins immediately! Additionally, you can read -

2) Now many women, wearing a hijab and performing namaz, having read the insanity of false scientists, consider themselves righteous and literate Muslim women. Allah Almighty said: He succeeded who cleansed himself, remembered the name of his Lord and performed prayer» (87:14-15). Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The key to prayer is purity, the beginning is takbir, and the end is salutation.” and“Cleanliness is half of Faith” and“Someone’s prayer will not be accepted if his ablution was violated, and he did not first restore it ” (Bukhari, Muslim, Abu Dawood, Ahmad). Please think for yourself, if prayer is not accepted without ablution, especially without ghusl, then what is the use of such prayers without purification ?! It turns out that your girlfriends did not actually perform prayer!!! It is a sin to perform prayer without purification. Many of you, your beloved takfirist Abu Hanifa, believed that whoever prays without taharat, knowing that this is not possible, is a kafir !!! Do you want proof?! Please! Imam an-Nawawi said : “If a person performed a prayer without ablution, knowing that this is forbidden, then he committed a great sin. However, we do not consider that he becomes unfaithful unless he considers such an action to be permissible. And Abu Hanifa believed that such a person becomes an infidel for mocking religion ”(See Rawdatu-ttalibin 10/67 and al-Majmu’ 2/84). Prayer at the beginning of your time is desirable. But at the same time, please do not forget that the time of each prayer comes at its own time and continues until the beginning of the next prayer. Therefore, one must first perform a full ablution and only then begin prayer. I also do not understand the actions of your girlfriends, who have sex just before prayer or go to bed after sex without cleansing themselves. As a last resort, if it is not at all possible to take a full bath, perform tayammum.

Allahu alim!

Muslims perform at least 5 prayers a day, which are scattered throughoutx days. This requires that a person very often be in a state of ritual purity, which would give him the opportunity to fulfill the instructions of the Almighty without any problems. However, a situation may arise when there is no water to perform ablution. Islam offers a way out th positionthrough such a type of ritual cleansing of the human body as tayammum.

The word "tayammum" literally translates as "intention". The Shariah definition, however, is much more precise and specific. It means the purification of a person from large or small defilement through the soil and other types of soil. It is important to note that tayammum is mentioned in the Holy Quran in:

“... if you are overtaken by a disease or are on the way, if you came from a latrine or had contact with your spouse (husband) and cannot find water, then wash yourself with clean earth - wipe your hands and face with it” (5:6)

When can you do tayammum?

If a person is on a journey or left his settlement and at the same time cannot find water at a distance of about two kilometers, then he is allowed to purify himself with the help of soil. It is also possible to practice this type of ablution if the believer is prescribed by the doctor the appropriate contraindications. In addition, if a person suffering from some kind of disease, although he has water, is afraid that its use may worsen his physical condition, then in this case, you can do tayammum instead.

In addition, in the collections of hadiths of Imams Abu Daud and al-Hakim, there is an approving attitude of the Final Messenger of the Almighty Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) to the situation when one of the Sahabs on a cold night was afraid to cleanse himself with water because of fear of getting sick. Remembering the verse from Surah "Women":

"...do not kill yourselves, for indeed Allah is merciful towards you" (4:29),

he used tayammum. When these Sahaba met with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and told about this incident, he only grinned and did not say anything in response to such an action of one of his companions.

It is also allowed to perform tayammum if there is a risk of being late for a festive or funeral prayer, since they cannot be replenished.

When it is not possible to get water from a reservoir or other source, or there is a danger from some predator or person, then in these cases Sharia allows the believer to use the land for ritual purification.

How to perform tayammum (procedure)

1. It is necessary to make an intention to cleanse from small or large filth in the mind or say it out loud.

2. A clap is made with the palms on the ground, after which the person thoroughly wipes his face. The main thing here is not to leave a place where the hand would not pass.

4. Similar actions are already taken in relation to the left hand.

What is allowed for tayammum

Tayammum can be made with earth, gypsum, sand, stone (even if there is no dust on it), clay, lime, antimony. However, it is important that all these items are clean. If a person just gets dust and falls on his hands and face, then this is not considered tayammum, since he did not make an intention for this. This is one of the key differences between tayammum and ghusl and wudu. After all, if a person for some reason is completely in the water, then he does not need to perform a separate ghusl. The same applies to rain, when it washes all parts of the body that must be cleansed during wudu. This is due to the fact that for these types of ritual cleansing, their completion is not a prerequisite.

It must be remembered that tayammum completely replaces both small (taharat / wudu) and large ablution (ghusl). At the same time, tayammum is spoiled by all the same things and actions that are characteristic of these two types of ritual purification. However, one more point is added - this is the opportunity to use water, which we will discuss in the next section.

More questions about tayammum

  • If a person understands that soon there is hope of finding water again, then it is advisable to leave the prayer until the end of the period when it should be read. However, an important condition in this case is the performance of this prayer before the end of this time. (That is, if, for example, the time for zuhr prayer expires at 2:00 pm, and a Muslim knows that at 1:30 pm he can take taharat, then he should postpone the afternoon prayer until that time).
  • If a traveler, being on the road away from settlements in an unfamiliar area, understands that he will not be able to find water, then he may not look for it.
  • If a person forgot that he had water and performed a prayer, taking tayammum, then he does not have to re-read such a prayer.
  • If water is available nearby, but it must be purchased, then tayammum is not valid.
  • If a travel companion has water, but refuses to share it even for a fee, then you can make tayammum and read prayer.

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family and faithful companions, then:

1. Remembered the absence of ablution after prayer
2. Remembered the absence of ablution during prayer
3. Being in prayer doubts about the presence of ablution
4. Remembered the absence of ablution after prayer as an imam

1. Remembered the absence of ablution after prayer

If a person performed namaz alone, then after namaz he remembered that he did not have ablution, his prayer is invalid, he must perform ablution and repeat the prayer.

Said in "Nur 'ala ad-Darb" : “Whoever thinks in prayer that he does not have ablution, and then it becomes obvious to him that he is really without ablution, he must resume his prayer (having performed ablution). This is according to the words of the prophet:

لا يقبل الله صلاة بغير طهور
"Allah does not accept prayer without ablution" . 1

And also according to the hadith:

« لا يقبل الله صلاة أحدكم إذا أحدث حتى يتوضأ
« Allah does not accept your prayer without ablution until you perform ablution" . 2

And this is according to the unanimous opinion of scientists.

2. Remembered the absence of ablution during prayer

If he remembered the absence of ablution during prayer, then he should leave the prayer, perform ablution and repeat the prayer.

“If during the prayer he clearly understood that he did not have ablution, then his prayer is annulled. He must perform ablution and repeat the prayer.

3. Being in prayer doubts about the presence of ablution

It is said in Markaz, Fatwa No. 257092: “And if this person doubted the presence of ablution while in prayer or after prayer, then prayer in both cases is valid, he should not redo anything, since the basis is the presence of ablution (after it is performed), and this (belief) is not violated except with conviction."

4. Remembered the absence of ablution after prayer as an imam

If the imam prayed with the group, and neither he nor the group knew that he was without a full or small ablution, then the prayer of the group is valid, and his prayer is not valid. This is transmitted from 'Umar, 'Uthman, 'Ali, Ibn 'Umar, may Allah be pleased with them. This is the opinion of Malik and ash-Shafi'i." 3

It is reported that Ibn ‘Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, performed the morning prayer as an imam, but after he found that he was without a full ablution, people did not redo the prayer, but he redid it. four

‘Usman, may Allah be pleased with him, performed the morning prayer as an imam, but when it was already dawn he realized that he was without a full ablution, he redid the prayer and did not order people to do the same. 5

‘Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, said: “If a person performs a collective prayer by an imam without a full ablution, then let him complete the prayer with them, then let him bathe and resume the prayer, and command the rest to do the same”. 6

Ibn ‘Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, performed the dinner prayer by the imam and remembered that he was without a small ablution, after that he resumed his prayer and the rest did not. 7

5. Remembered the lack of ablution during prayer as an imam

Almost all scholars agree that if the imam realized that he did not have ablution or was unable to continue the prayer, then he should silently pull the person standing next to him, and he was already continuing the prayer.

Imam an-Nawawi said in his al-Majmoo: “Ibn al-Mundhir reported this opinion from 'Umar ibn al-Khattab, 'Ali, 'Alqama, 'Ata, al-Hasan al-Basri, an-Nakha'i, al-Thawri, Malik, from the adherents of the opinion (i.e. e Hanafi) and Ahmad. And the prohibition of this is not transmitted from anyone.

Al-Bukhari reported that when 'Umar was wounded in the mosque, he pulled up 'Abdu-Rahman ibn 'Awf standing behind him, and he continued the prayer, and none of the companions objected to him, which indicates the unanimity of the companions.
