I used: a basket made from a dried bouquet and a plastic ball. To make the craft stable, I glued the ball to the bottom of the basket with a glue gun.

So, in order to walk around with these thoughts - that there will be an exhibition, and there needs to be a composition, and autumn is in the yard, and the composition should be autumn, and autumn ikebana is not necessarily made of “yellow maple leaves”, it can be bright and flowery, but the breath of autumn must be felt.... Somehow my teacher’s story about how five hundred years ago in Japan monks wandered through the mountains for weeks, looking for the right branch - the one that they had dreamed - sank into my soul. and it certainly had to be found... Nowadays there is jiyuka - “free form”, and you can bend everything to the wires, but then everything was strict, no delays, as nature created, so take it...

Younger and I, however, wandered around in search of branches. Not for two weeks, of course, and not in the mountains, but in the surrounding fields, and everyone looked closely at the willows and acacias, but they didn’t find anything sensible. The willow branches are light and well curved, but somehow everything was wrong. Acacia branches are dark, and their pattern is clear, whimsical, they look very picturesque, but acacia leaves will not last even two hours, if you cut a branch, they wither immediately. We couldn't find any branches, so we decided to put up flowers.

And if you look from a frontal angle, as it should be, you get the impression that everything is “growing” from one “point” - by the way, you can see it in the photograph if you enlarge it. That branch that bends forward was given to me right there, during preparation, and I placed it. Such an autumn twig. Oh, yes, so that’s what shoka is, I said, and “shim-pu-tai” is a form of three elements. One is the main one. It can be anything, but it must be beautiful and have clearly defined characteristics. For example, "tall-straight". Or "dense-bright", or, for example, "massive, low". Anything, really. Any "sign" that expresses the beauty of a plant. The second element, respectively, is the opposite of the first. Well, the third one “breathes” life into the composition, introduces either movement or a color accent, and saturates it with variety.

Well, the third work is our joint work, mine and Junior’s, and the sensei herself had a hand in the end - she added yellow flowers. The situation was a bit extreme, and we put this song "instead". Before leaving, my treasure announced that she was not going anywhere, and in general “she didn’t need anything.” In response to my admonitions on the topic that in general now it doesn’t matter what she personally needs and what she doesn’t need, she has no right to let people down - our teacher and sensei, she has a place at the exhibition, she is on the list of participants, and now the same situation , when you just need to go and do what you have to do, Treasure twisted her face and continued to mumble that “she doesn’t need all this.” There was no time to think about her motivations and look for “approaches” to her mysterious soul, and I decided that let everything go as it goes. Perhaps her refusal to go was explained by the fact that the day before she had smashed one of Younger’s vases (there were only five of them), on purpose, out of spite, and was afraid of retribution? Retribution would hardly come, and the sensei and our teacher usually don’t bother with little things like broken ceramics, apparently rightly believing that everything in this world is transitory, and only glimpses of beauty are eternal... But our Treasure, I think, such simple thoughts come to mind did not come, and she stayed at home. And we grabbed her vases, and, after we realized our own ideas, we quickly staged the third work. In my opinion, it turned out very well.

Ekibana is the traditional Japanese art of making flower bouquets. Translated into Russian, this word, incomprehensible to us, means flowers that live. As a rule, the Japanese use exclusively live and, if possible, freshly cut flowers to create their floral sculptures.

But since we live in a country where it is not possible to grow fresh flowers all year round, our ekibana has been slightly transformed. In the autumn-winter period, florists and simply lovers of beautiful floral objects make it from all kinds of available materials. In addition to dried flowers and herbs, our people use chestnuts, autumn fruits and even rowan.

So, first, prepare a vase, approximately 40 pieces of maple leaves, threads. Then we take the still wet leaves and begin to form a rose out of them. We make the required number of buds, and then begin to attach them to the stem. It can be made from any flexible twig of brown or green color. After your autumn roses are ready, let's start collecting ekibana. To do this, pour sand into the bottom of the vase and start sticking the stems of our roses into it. Having arranged all the roses, be sure to make them a so-called wrapper of beautiful maple leaves.

Flat ekibana is an ideal option for schools and kindergartens. Some florists also call it foliage paintings and panels. Since in this case the leaves are attached to a dense base, all that will be required of you is to give them the correct shape and form certain shapes. If you wish, you can very quickly make a beautiful and airy butterfly, a small mouse, flowers from autumn leaves, or lay out a beautiful clearing.

But in order for you to get all these pictures, first you will need to prepare the decorative material. And if for a volumetric composition the leaves must be flexible, then for flat ones they must be as dry and even as possible. In view of this, all collected material will need to be properly dried.

Ekibana is an autumn fantasy in a basket.

If you don’t want to make a basket yourself, you can take a ready-made one and turn it into an original autumn decoration. Both fresh and dried flowers can be used as filling. If you use live plants, for example, asters or chrysanthemums, then you need to ensure that they need to create favorable conditions that will help them stay fresh for as long as possible.

In view of this, you will have to insert a plastic or glass container inside the basket into which you can place a floral sponge soaked in a nutrient solution. If you use dried flowers for filling, you will need to stick them into the sand or simply attach them to the walls of the basket with thin wire.

Dried flowers are good because you can use them to create quite a lot of different objects. These can be bouquets, wreaths, paintings and original panels. The simplest ekibana, of course, is a bouquet. It can be done in two ways. If you prepare flowers yourself, then simply collect the plants that you like, make a bouquet of them, tie the stems well and hang them to dry in a dark, well-ventilated place (buds down).

If you do everything correctly, then in the fall your home will be decorated not only with a beautiful and pleasant-smelling composition. If you buy dried flowers and then make compositions from them, you will first need to adjust their stems to the same length, put all the flowers together, and then carefully look at whether all the elements of your ekibana are in harmony with each other.

Ekibana of autumn fruits: a basket of pine cones.

In autumn, there is literally a lot of decorative material lying under your feet, which can be used to create an original autumn ekibana. For example, you can collect acorns or cones and make an original basket out of them, which can later be filled with dried flowers, fruits, autumn leaves or homemade flowers. The easiest way to make such a basket is to take an ordinary small cardboard box and carefully cover it with pine cones of the same size.

Or you can simply collect autumn leaves and make a bouquet from them. Let the leaves lose their shape after some time, but it’s beautiful.

And today we will talk about compositions and lamps from pumpkin... about elegant flower and fruit compositions with wicker baskets... about how you can make beautiful autumn ones with your own hands sprinkles in transparent vases... and I’ll give you a large selection of compositions with candles and candlesticks decorated in autumn style. In short, there will be many interesting interior ideas for creating an autumn atmosphere in the house, for decorating a wedding in the fall.

Autumn compositions - crafts with PUMPKINS.

Pumpkin is, one might say, a SYMBOL OF AUTUMN. And pumpkin crafts for interior decoration can be very different. You can cover a white pumpkin with yellow autumn leaves (if they don’t stick well to PVA glue... you can plant them on acrylic varnish)... Or you can stick the leaves on - and just apply paint on them - and apply it to the side of the pumpkin AS A STAMP... and it will remain on the pumpkin skin sheet imprint.

Or you can make a PUMPKIN CARVING. To do this, you need to... attach an autumn leaf to the pumpkin - trace the outline with a pencil... then cut out the outline with a knife - and peel off the skin inside the outline - you will get a beautiful CARVED PATTERN on the pumpkin (as in the left photo below).

You can put several pumpkins on the table and braid them with branches of a berry bush...

Or you can make beautiful LAMPS from pumpkins. To do this... you need to cut off the lower part (bottom) of the pumpkin... cut through this cut and remove all the pumpkin pulp - so that only the walls remain.
Then we need cut round holes– for it to turn out well – it’s best to use metal tubes with thin sharp walls and a hammer. We apply the cut of such a metal pipe to the side of the pumpkin from the INSIDE - (that is, we put the tube inside the pumpkin... and the pumpkin should lie on the side that we are going to pierce). And so we apply an iron tube to the side - and hit it with a hammer (or press hard) - and the sharp edges of the tube perforate the pumpkin side (just like a cookie cutter perforates the rolled out dough).

You can choose the patterns at your discretion... if you take tubes of different diameters, you will get holes of different sizes.

If miniature decorative pumpkins have grown on your beds, then you can make a beautiful wreath composition with asters, cones and bright ribbons from them (as in the photo below).

If the pumpkin doesn't have a convenient tail to tie a ribbon on- then you can drive a construction dowel with a metal eye into a pumpkin ... or just a long nail bent into a loop

To get such a bent nail- you must first drive it 1 centimeter into the board - and then hit it with a hammer at a crooked angle - so that the nail bends - and then remove it from the board and drive it into a pumpkin at an angle - and you get a metal grip for tying the ribbon.

For such a wreath you need metal rim(quite strong) – to the rim for volume you can screw dry branches in a circle- wrapping them with wire.

And then use the same wire to attach the pumpkins. For this each fruit must be perforated - from one side with a through hole (like a button)– so that there is an entry hole for the wire and 3-7 cm from it an exit hole for the wire.

To get such an “underground passage” you just need pierce a gourd with a bent nail... a nail bent in the form of an arch - will enter the pumpkin - and exit immediately next to the entrance hole. And we will get such an EAR as a button. We will thread the wire through this eye, and the pumpkin will turn out to be strung on it like a mushroom - and it can be tied to the wreath base.

Autumn compositions - IN BASKETS.

Ordinary wicker baskets can also participate in the creation of autumn interior crafts.

Inside the basket you can make an AUTUMN BOUQUET. Buy an "oasis" in a florist's shop (this is such a material similar to green sponge plasticine) - you stick flowers into it and they do not wither for weeks, feeding on moisture from this "oasis sponge".

Or you can do DRY compositions autumn floristry in a basket - or even take three baskets of different sizes and make a beautiful autumn pyramid out of them from cones, rose hips, dry ornamental grasses, velvet sage leaves and coniferous twigs.

If your basket is old and shabby, and an oak tree is actively fruiting in the neighborhood, then you can pick up acorns ... arm yourself with a glue gun(sold in hardware stores for 3 or 5 dollars) and pave the entire basket, paste over the bodies and caps of acorns. You will get a beautiful autumn craft like in the photo below.

Or you can not be too tricky and just make a fruit and leafy display in a beautiful bowl. pumpkins for glitter rub with paraffin(spread a candle) and then polish with a dry cloth to a glossy finish..

Bright fruits of persimmon and silver velvet leaves of garden wormwood...or other plants have the same velvety gray leaves - for example cleaner, cineraria– they look very beautiful in dry autumn bouquets and compositions.

Or you can make the dish itself for the fruit composition from cut (in half horizontally) pumpkin.

You can make an autumn arrangement from small pumpkins, garden flowers and seed umbels of plants.

But you can think even more interestingly... and create a small fruit masterpiece... Glue rhinestones onto ordinary ruddy pears (ordinary adhesive rhinestones that are sold in stalls... they already have a sticky surface on the back and are easy and quick to stick. By the way, this table decoration looks good for decorating an outdoor wedding.

Artistic compositions - from natural and plant material.

You can make beautiful autumn outfits from stones, dry snags and flowers.

You can make a real autumn composition from a carved pumpkin ... with birch stump and toy deer. Place it on the coffee table and let it please the eyes of you and your children... Let them play with this cozy pumpkin house... This is such a great childhood pleasure. And by the way, the children themselves can take part in making such a composition from a hollow pumpkin - let them decide for themselves how to arrange the house

You can also buy it in a gift shop small decorative birds... They are made from papier-mâché and feathers - they look like real ones. And make a beautiful composition of autumn leaves, berries and birds sitting on a perch. Children will be happy to take part in such a craft. Rose hips and poppy pods look beautiful... especially if sprinkled with dried perennial flowers.

It’s also beautiful if you surround the glass with carved autumn leaves and tie it with twine.

The size of the overall composition depends on your plan and the amount of natural materials and suitable glass containers.

Or you can simply make a small cozy table setting - with autumn branches... and a sprinkle of pine cones in a vase... beautiful bunches of leaves and candles to match the overall composition. A wonderful autumn still life that just begs to be painted.

DIY autumn ekibana

Autumn ekibana can be distinguished by its brightness, since to make it you can collect leaves of all colors, sizes and shapes; you can also add some flowers to this set, after drying them.

The most important thing in making ekibana is to properly prepare all decorative elements. So, having collected all the leaves and flowers, they need to be dried by hanging them upside down in a dark and dry place. After the leaves are dry, they need to be soaked in a solution of glycerin and water and dried again. Glycerin will help maintain the shape and color of all elements of the ekibana.

If elements such as bark or tree branches are used, then you can apply hairspray on them using glitter, so the dead wood takes on a festive look.

You can select a vase or container for autumn ekibana according to different criteria; it could be a vase, plate or other stand. The main thing is that the vase is not too bright, then all attention will be directed to it. After all the steps taken, the ekibana of leaves will be ready, you just need to decide on the method of attaching all the components of this autumn bouquet. For example, wet sand or polystyrene foam will work well as a fixative for the composition.

DIY Ekibana for the New Year

In order to get into the New Year's mood, you can make a festive ekibana. This time you can use different decorations, ranging from artificial ones to living objects. For New Year's ekibana, you can take live tulips and coniferous branches; the number of such elements depends entirely on the container in which the ekibana will be placed. For example, if a vase has a small neck, then there cannot be many decorative elements, but if the container allows you to place many flowers and branches, you can get creative.

Also, for winter ekibana you will need a special floral sponge that will not allow the flowers to fade. So, you can start preparing the container for the ekibana: to do this, you need to cut out a shape suitable for the size of the vase from a sponge and glue it to the bottom of the vase. The sponge can be higher than the vase to give the ekibana a denser appearance.

Next, you need to fill the vase with a special liquid, which the sponge will soak in. The flowers need to be trimmed so that they can be easily inserted into the sponge and no extra leaves will interfere. Then the sponge needs to be filled with flowers, but do not forget about the free space for coniferous branches. After all the flowers are inserted into the sponge, you need to prepare the coniferous branches by first trimming them and clearing them of excess elements.

Branches need to be inserted into empty spaces so that the ekibana has a beautiful appearance without bald spots. This is how ekibana is made from fresh flowers on the eve of the New Year holiday. You can also make an ekibana from cones, complementing the finished composition of flowers and pine needles with cones; they can either be glued or simply placed on coniferous branches.

Fruit ekibana

Fruit ekibans are usually made as a gift, because such a composition cannot stand for a long time and will not serve as an interior decoration. Therefore, such a gift must be made quickly and eaten on the same day.

To prepare fruit ekibana, you need to decide on the fruits that will fill the container and their type: they can be chopped or served whole. Usually, if you make ekibana from whole fruits, you can use a basket, and no auxiliary materials are needed. But if you want to make an original gift, you can choose a vase of any size, buy a special sponge into which you can insert fruit, and skewers.

Fruits need to be beautifully cut; they can look like hearts, flowers and other beautiful elements. You need to put several fruits on a skewer and insert it into a floral sponge. And so you need to do until the entire vase is filled with fruit. There is an option to use hard dough instead of a sponge, but this is at the request of the creator. The main thing is to quickly deliver the gift so that the fruit does not have time to lose its appearance and taste.

Ekibana made from paper elements

Decorative ekibana can be made from paper, that is, from various elements that are made from paper. For example, it can be used to make beautiful flowers, fruits and other shapes. In order to make flowers, you need to buy special paper that holds the shape, wire and a vase. Such flowers can be used either independently or in combination with other elements of ekibana.
