Hairpins with roses from foamiran. Hairpins with flowers made of foamiran: master class for hair, photo of a rose, DIY MK Hairpins for school made of foamiran

Not long ago, a new material appeared on the market for creative products. It is called foamiran, plastic suede, foam, revelour, fom eva, artificial suede. It looks like sheets of foam rubber of varying thicknesses, velvety to the touch and very light.
The main advantage of revelour is its safety; the material can even be used in children's creativity. In addition, it is very plastic and has “memory”. If it is given the required shape during processing, it will retain it. Products made from foamiran are quite light, durable, moisture-resistant, and do not wrinkle. Foam is used to make dolls and toys and is used in scrapbooking and artificial floristry. Craftswomen make unique accessories for women: hairpins, brooches, wreaths with flowers, wedding decorations. Thanks to the above properties of foma, namely its plasticity, flowers from it look as if they were alive, but at the same time they will never fade and will decorate a woman at any time of the year and in any weather.

Necessary materials

So, to create a flower clip made of plastic suede you will need:
Pink and brown foam for making a flower. Green for leaves, sepals and pith. Foamiran thickness 0.8-1 mm;
Scissors;
Thermal gun with glue;
Wooden skewer or toothpick;
Iron;
Paint for tinting petals;
Accessories for hairpins;
Super glue;
to decorate the finished product (optional).
All of these materials can be purchased at the craft store.

Stages of work

Nature has created beautiful flowering plants. Masters of artificial floristry, imitating nature, try to create no less wonderful accessories that are as similar as possible to real flowers. To start mastering this art, of course, you need to do something simple. For this, a gerbera flower is perfect. Gerbera is a flower that looks like the sun. It is a symbol of joy and kindness. In addition, there is a legend about the forest nymph Gerba, who did not like the close attention of others, and she chose to become a wild flower. Therefore, gerberas symbolize modesty.
The work of creating a hairpin with artificial flowers from revelour is divided into three stages:
1. Processing of plastic suede;
2. flower assembly;
3. Attaching the flower to the fittings.

Foamiran processing

Processing consists of four steps: cutting, tinting, thermal and manual processing.
To make gerberas, you need to take foamiran in green and brown colors for the core and pink for the petals. It is necessary to take a strip of green foam 1.5 cm wide and 15 cm long and cut it with a very frequent fringe, not reaching the edge by about 0.5 cm. The second strip of brown color is also cut with fringe, only larger. Its dimensions are 2 by 15 cm. From pink foamiran you need to cut out petals 5 cm high and 1 cm wide according to this pattern. To create this flower you will need 30 petals. In addition, green leaves and sepals are needed. Their sizes are indicated on the pattern. It was by disassembling real fresh flowers into individual petals that masters of artificial floristry created patterns for their creations. There is no need to make the petals perfectly identical, because each of them is unique in any flower.

When foamiran is cut, it needs to be tinted. For this you will need any paint. In this case, acrylic is used. In gerbera flowers, the petals near the core have a lighter shade. Using yellow paint you need to carefully tint about a third of the petal and shade it evenly. It is best to do this with a sponge or a damp cloth wrapped around your finger. Gerbera flowers also have small veins on their petals; they can be made using any sharp object, such as a toothpick or nail scissors.

Next, you need to process all the prepared parts using an iron. To do this, a strip of green fringe should be applied to the iron set to wool mode (**). At the same time, it will become a little darker, and its edge will begin to curl. The second strip should be treated in the same way. Place the cut and tinted petals one at a time, preferably using tweezers (to avoid getting burned), against the iron for a few seconds. After this, the petal itself will take the desired shape: it will stretch slightly and acquire a smooth bend. The green leaves need to be applied to the surface of the iron for a few seconds, and then twisted like a candy wrapper and slightly straightened with your hands. Perform the same operation with the sepals. This completes the preparation of the foamiran.

Flower assembly

Wrap the green strip tightly around a wooden skewer in the form of a roll, gluing where necessary. Wind the second strip over the green one. It turns out the core of the flower. Then the product is turned over, and the petals are glued. The first row, then the second and third in a checkerboard pattern. So that all empty spaces are filled. Following this, the sepals and green leaves are glued. The finished flower measures approximately 10-11 cm.

Attaching the flower to the fittings

In this master class, the flower will be attached to a duck hairpin 12 cm long. In general, the accessories can be anything. The principle of fastening is the same for everyone. To disguise the attachment point, you need to cut a circle of a suitable diameter from green plastic. A flower is glued to the fittings. It's better to use superglue. On the bottom side, the attachment point is masked with a green circle. The product takes on a neat appearance.

The hairpin with an unfading gerbera flower is ready. It will decorate any woman's hairstyle, making it unique.

A peony made from plastic foamiran is a rather lush, beautiful bud that even a novice craftsman can make.

To carry out MK we will need the following types of materials:

  1. Porous foamiran. To make the craft as realistic as possible, purchase material with a thickness of no more than 1 mm. We will need dark green, dark pink and light pink canvas.
  2. Fixation tape, which can be light green or green.
  3. Water-based acrylic paints. To make the artificial flower interesting and as realistic as possible, purchase dark pink, marsh and yellow shades of paint.
  4. Volumetric thick wire that will bend well, with a diameter of 1-1.5 mm. It will be needed to form the stem. For the leaves you need a small piece of floral or thin wire.
  5. A set of art brushes, as well as foam rubber from which you need to make a small sponge (or sponge).
  6. Nail scissors and a standard glue gun. You can use any manicure tool that can easily cut foamiran.
  7. A beautiful mother-of-pearl stone, a voluminous bead or a piece of foil from which the core of the bud will be formed.

We also need a pattern that can be printed or hand drawn. With its help we will form the petals and components of our bud. When everything you need is on the table, you can begin to create a peony step by step.

  1. Cutting the component parts of the flower according to our pattern.
    - A – 10 light pink petals;
    - B – 10 petals of a light pink shade and 5 blanks of a dark pink color;
    - C – 10 parts of a light pink shade;
    - D – 5 dark pink petals;
    - E – 5 dark pink parts;
    - Z – 3 leaves of a dark green hue;
    - M – 6 sheets of dark green color;
    - K and L – 5 dark green sepals;
    - F – a blank in the form of a sun with rays, from which we will form an interesting core with imitation of stamens.

    We cut out a pattern from the existing image, transfer it to light pink foamiran and cut out a circle. After that, cut the rays with sharp ends.

  2. Tinting leaves and petals

    Using acrylic paint, we lightly tint the petals of our peony, trying to get the effect of a non-uniform color (either darker towards the edge of the petal, or darker closer to the base). To do this we need a small brush with which we paint all the petals on both sides.

    The second stage is the creation of “living” leaves. For this we also use the technique of manual tinting. We paint our foamiran leaves on one side only with a darker green paint, and then draw the central veins in the center of the trefoil, distributing the paint from the center to the edges of the workpiece.

  3. Corrugation of leaves and petals

    The initial stage will be corrugating the petals B. We fold the workpiece in small folds according to the “accordion” principle.

  4. Flower assembly

    We prepare the base on which many peony petals will be fixed. To do this, we form a tight ball from foil, the diameter of which should not exceed 1.5 cm. If you decide to use a bead, make sure that it has a wide enough hole. We pierce a hole in the foil ball, pour glue into it and immediately thread the prepared wire into the hole.

    We string the workpiece G onto the wire and tie all the upper parts with a thread, placing them above the bead.

    We dip the tips of the stamens in yellow acrylic paint, and then attach 10 petals A to them using a glue gun.

    We fix the petals B, folded like an accordion at the base, so that small folds are obtained. In this way we secure 10 light pink and 5 dark pink petals.

    Next next to each other we glue 5 petals C, and behind them, in a checkerboard pattern, 5 more of the same blanks.

    The pre-final stage will be gluing five petals D in a checkerboard pattern in relation to the previous ones.

    And the creation of the final row of the 5 largest petals of E.

    We fix the sepals and begin to collect leaves as shown in the photo.

    Decorate the hairpin with a lush poppy

    A red foamiran poppy is a great way to decorate any hair accessory or diversify a flower bouquet consisting of wild plants.

    To create it we will need:

    • dense foamiran in black, green and red shades;
    • acrylic paint (red and white);
    • bright pastels and a sponge for tinting;
    • simple threads, a piece of foil, an iron and curly scissors;
    • automatic hairpin without decorations;
    • glue, a manicure stick or wooden toothpick, and phlox powder.

    When all the materials are ready, you can start the master class. To do this, follow the instructions below.

    We draw paper templates by hand in the amount of 8-16 pieces. We need 4 small blanks - 5.5 * 4.5 cm, as well as 4 large ones - 7.5 * 5.5 cm.

    We cut out a strip of black foamiran and process one side to create a fringe.

    We make the base from a ball of foil, the diameter of the workpiece is approximately 1.7-2 cm.

    We tint our petals on one side using a sponge.

    Smooth out sharp corners with curly scissors.

    Lightly touching our petal with a sponge, apply white paint on one side to the bottom of the petal.

    We cut out a circle from green foamiran, put a ball of foil in the middle and begin to form a poppy head. We tie the ball with thread as shown in the photo.

    Cut off the excess thread. We turn the ends over (turn them inside out) and glue them. You can lightly tint the core, first with red and then with white paint.

    We begin assembling the flower by gluing the fringe.

    We form poppy petals by heating the material on an iron set to “silk-wool” mode. We fold the warm pieces like an accordion, twist them and stretch out the middle a little. We do this with all the petals.

    We paint the fringe a little white. We begin to glue the petals overlapping, forming rows. First there are 4 petals in one row.

    Then we glue the large petals below the first row by about 1-2 mm, also slightly overlapping.

    We cut out the leaves and apply texture to them, tinting with paint and shading it with a sponge on both sides.

    Glue the leaves by sprinkling them with phlox powder.

    The flower is ready. Now all we have to do is glue it to the automatic hairpin using a hole punch or glue. You can do your hair!

In the circles of craftsmen, foamiran is a very popular material for creativity. Decor for paintings and women's accessories are made from it. In this article we will tell you how to make a hairpin from foamiran or hairband .

Foamiran is a thin synthetic material 2 mm thick, which is also called artificial suede, revelur, foam or fom. Many people confuse foam with foms, but this is a completely different material, which is most often used to make children's toys.

The main suppliers of foamiran are Iran and China, only Iranian foam is of better quality than Chinese, although more expensive. You can work with both. The visual difference will be obvious only in the color of the materials - Iranian Revelure is brighter. Otherwise, the characteristics of foamiran from China and Iran are the same:

Considering all the features of this unique material, it is easy to guess what excellent jewelry can be created from it. They look especially beautiful on hair accessories.

Types of foamiran hairpins

Before you start making decor for future hairpins, you need to choose the right metal base. We do not suggest doing it yourself, but recommend purchasing ready-made accessories. If you wear your hair mostly loose, then small bobby pins, clothespins or a hoop will suit you. If you prefer to tie your hair in a bun, you can use elastic bands or hairpins. We will present variants of all the above-mentioned bases for hair clips with foam in the form of photographs.

Varieties of colors for foamiran hairpins with photos

From a material such as foamiran, you can make realistic flowers that are difficult to distinguish from real ones from afar. Moreover, even a child can make beautiful flower buds from foam. In this matter, the main thing is to decide which flowers you want to make, because the technique for making them will differ from each other. In this article we will present several master classes on making different colors for foamiran hairpins.

Hairpin with a rose from foamiran

Roses are everyone’s favorite flowers, which always look solemn and luxurious not only in their natural form, but also as decoration on hairpins for girls made of foamiran. From the huge number of shades in which foam is presented, you can choose any one for making roses. We will present an example of making such a classic red rosebud and revelour:

For work we will need the following material:

  1. Several sheets of foamiran
  2. Scissors or utility knife
  3. Hot-melt gun or any other quick-drying glue
  4. Decorative elements - rhinestones, beads or seed beads
  5. Special base for petal formation

You will need all these accessories when creating any flower, as they are basic. Therefore, in the course of describing the procedure for creating other colors, we will no longer return to this issue.

Let's return to making a rose from faux suede. The first thing to do is to prepare the petals of the future bud. To do this, draw large drops of the same size on one sheet of foamiran, and then carefully cut them out. After this, give each petal a shape. This is done very simply: heat the iron to 120 degrees, apply a petal to it to heat it up. When heated, the foam becomes plastic - it can be stretched, compressed and modified. The petal of the rose we offer should look like this:

While the petals are hot, the pointed side should be slightly squeezed into an accordion. This will give them a more natural appearance. Then find a small foam ball and start gluing the petals to it one by one using a heat gun, overlapping each other in a clockwise direction.

When several of these flowers are ready, you can add green leaves to them, in exactly the same way as petals cut from foam. As a result, you will get a hairpin like this:

Hairpin with dandelion made of foamiran

Dandelion seems at first glance to be a simple and unattractive flower. However, it is from this sunny plant that we weave wreaths in the spring and decorate our heads with them. Only a wreath made from real dandelion will quickly wither, but if you use flowers made from foamiran, you can decorate your hair with this headband with dandelions all year round:

In addition to the already known material that you may need to create a dandelion, you may also need a knitting needle and curly scissors. For one flower you will need two strips of foam 50 cm long and 2 cm wide. One edge of each strip must be cut off with curly scissors. When you have done this, make a fringe like this from each strip:

We recommend rolling each individual strip of fringe into tubes. This is an optional step, but thanks to it your future flower will sparkle much more interestingly. Now each fringe needs to be heated with an iron so that it curls. After this, the strips must first be rolled into an unblown dandelion:

Glue all the strips well with a heat gun. After this, the flower can be “dissolved”: heat each side with an iron, and then turn the petals in the opposite direction to get a realistic dandelion bud:

Having made several of these flowers, glue green foam leaves to them for brightness, and then attach them to any base - a headband or a hair tie.

Hairpin with chamomile made of foamiran

A banal field chamomile will look beautiful on the hair of romantic and sophisticated girls. In this master class we suggest attaching the resulting flower to an elastic band.

How to make a chamomile out of foam:

  • Make three white circles with a diameter of 9 cm on white foamiran;
  • Cut a straw 2 cm wide from yellow foam and make a fringe on it - the center for the flower will be made from it by twisting it into a tube;
  • On the white circles, make cuts shaped like chamomile petals;
  • Heat the tips of the petals with an iron and slightly round them;
  • Now glue the yellow core to the white petals of one daisy circle;
  • Now glue two more circles to the resulting blank from below so that the petals are located in relation to each other in a checkerboard pattern.

As a result, you should end up with these beautiful daisies:

Hairpin with lily from foamiran

29 March 2016

More recently, a new fashion has emerged - wearing flowers in hair. Also, foamiran material has recently begun to gain great popularity among needlewomen. Flowers from foamiran indeed they turn out to be very realistic and durable, they are not afraid of either frost or heat. Let's combine these two fashionable new items into one.

Materials:

  1. Foamiran in two colors (green, white);
  2. Preparations for stamens;
  3. Wooden skewer;
  4. Cardboard;
  5. Scissors;
  6. Pencil;
  7. Ruler;
  8. glue gun;
  9. Iron;
  10. Barrette.

Working with foamiran: how to make flowers for a hair clip

First, let's make a small stencil of petals from cardboard. Using a ruler and a simple pencil, measure out a 2.5*2 cm rectangle. Draw a petal in it, cut out a stencil.

To apply the outline of a petal to foamiran, you do not need to trace the stencil with a pencil or pen and once again stain the material. Simply trace the stencil with a wooden skewer.

We will make three flowers to decorate the hairpin. One flower will require ten petals. We trace and cut out the petals.

To give the petals volume and texture, you will need an iron. A medium heat setting will be required. We bring the petal close to the iron for a few seconds.

Quickly place it in your palm and press the middle of the petal with your thumb.

We do this with all the petals.

We will get small flowers, so we will need few stamens.

Take the stamens and fix them at the base with a drop of glue.

Glue the first petal, applying a small drop of glue only to the tip. The stamens should be in the middle of the petal.

Glue the subsequent petals, maintaining uniformity. The flower should be even on all sides.

Since the petals are the same size, we glue them at the same level so that the lower base of the flower does not turn out to be “mismatched”. Using this technique we make three flowers.

We cut out leaf blanks from green foamiran. We make them more openwork and realistic with the help of small cutouts along the edging.

We bring the leaves one at a time close to the iron for a few seconds.

Then we give it a shape close to the shape of a real leaf, and slightly twist it into a tube.

When everything is ready, glue first the leaf and then the flowers to the hairpin.

We start with the outermost flower.

The hairpin is ready!

Flowers on a hairpin very similar to fragrant jasmine flowers.

White flowers always look advantageous and gentle, they look like wedding, but if you want, you can paint the tips of the petals with paint using a sponge before assembling the flower.

It is very pleasant to work with foamiran, making flowers, you feel like a sculptor creating beauty!

The master class was prepared specifically for the site Handicraft Lessons.

In this tutorial on foamiran, I will tell you and show you, using step-by-step photos, how to make several types of small flowers with your own hands from the remains of foamiran and consider several ways to attach flowers to pins.

First, let's decide on the source materials for foamiran studs, which we will need to make flowers. Once again, I cut out all the blanks for the hairpins from the remains of foamiran, of which there is always a lot left over when making large flowers.

Materials for making flowers from foamiran on stiletto heels:

  • white foamiran;
  • iron;
  • white or blue beads;
  • boule or auxiliary material and sponge;
  • blue oil pastel and wet wipes or sponge;
  • second glue and toothpick;
  • beads and bead wire;
  • 4 studs.

Foamiran flowers on stiletto heels: master class with photos

We begin our work with a pattern. The patterns were developed by foamiran master Elena Semanova.

According to the pattern, we will prepare blanks for the flowers.

Making roses on stiletto heels from foamiran

The first method of attaching flowers from foamiran to a hairpin.

According to template 1, cut out the petal circles and sepals for the rose.

Take a piece of foil 6.5*5.5 cm and fold it into a strip 0.5 cm wide.

Like this one.

We pass the strip between the legs of the hairpin and fold it in half.

Then twist it into a droplet shape.

The sepal can be cut out of blue foamiran or tinted on both sides with blue oil pastel.

On the petal circles we apply a wavy mesh texture with a stick.
