How to make a ladybug from cardboard. Applications "Ladybug" made of colored paper

Good day, dear readers!

The ladybug is a very beautiful red-black insect. That is why you should learn how to make it from colored paper or any other similar material. You can place a lot of candies in the middle and then the craft will turn into an original gift for any occasion.

Necessary materials:

  • colored paper in red, white and black;
  • office glue;
  • scissors;
  • black marker;
  • pencil;
  • ruler.

Stages of making a ladybug:

  1. For the base of the body, you need to prepare a circle of medium-sized paper. First, let's draw its silhouette with a simple pencil.

  1. Then carefully cut along the contour with scissors. We get the base of the body and the general paper craft.

  1. We use red paper to create the volume of the ladybug's body. Cut out four strips of the same width and length.

  1. We bend each strip at both edges. We bend the entire length of the strip using a simple pencil.

  1. Apply glue to the sides of one of the strips. We apply it to the mug vertically. Give a little time for the glue to dry.

  1. Then we take the second strip and glue it in a horizontal position.

  1. We glue the remaining two red strips of paper at an angle onto the red circle. This way we get a voluminous body of a ladybug.

  1. Glue three pieces of black paper together to create the ladybug's head. Then we attach it to the bottom of the craft.

A child learns something new every day; for him, any fact is a real discovery. You can learn about the life of representatives of the animal world from observing them, reading information in encyclopedias, watching feature films or videos on the Internet. But, it is important for the baby not only to see and hear, but also to touch. Therefore, layouts come to the rescue. Adults are experienced and can accurately convey the structure and appearance of a particular representative of the fauna.
Today you will learn how to make a ladybug, which is located on a leaf of a tree.
The following materials are needed for work:
- a piece of thick cardboard;
- newspaper;
- black colored paper;
- plastic bag;
- marker;
- scissors;
- needle and thread;
- pen or pencil;
- glue in a tube;
- self-adhesive film in green, red and black colors.
First, cut out a piece of wood from thick cardboard. It can be of any shape.
Now it needs to be covered with green self-adhesive film.

We cut out one rectangular piece, slightly larger than the leaf itself.

We wrap the edges of the film on the wrong side.

Next, we cut out the blank according to the shape of the cardboard base.

And glue it on the back side of the leaf. The foundation of the future is ready.

Now let's move on to making a ladybug.
Cut out an oval from cardboard with a small semicircle in front. This is exactly the shape of the bug.

We cover the workpiece on one side with newspaper. This must be done in such a way as to create volume.

We cut out two transparent wings from a plastic bag and draw stripes – veins – with a black marker.

We glue them onto the ladybug blank, having previously covered it with black colored paper.

Now we cut out two blanks from ordinary cardboard - these will be hard wings.

We cover them on both sides with red self-adhesive film and make cuts in the center.

We connect the cuts so that there are bends on the wings. Thanks to this, the bug will receive stable volume.

We attach the hard red wings near the insect's head. This can be done with a needle and thread.

The place where the parts are attached must be decorated with black self-adhesive film. We also paste it over the head of the bug.
All that remains is to glue 7 black circles cut from the film.

On the reverse side, generously grease our workpiece with glue. And glue it to the green leaf.

Now we make 6 legs. You can take a cocktail tube, cut it into 1 cm long segments, cover it with black self-adhesive film and bend it in half.

Ladybug is a cute image. A small and cute insect made by a child with his own hands may become a source for new research into nature. Who is this, where and how does it live, how does it feed and reproduce?

You can try to make a ladybug out of paper starting from the age of 2-3, when the baby’s fine motor skills are already quite developed. You can come to the rescue at any time, but it is advisable for the child to watch your hands and repeat according to the pattern.

Master class: ladybug

In the photo, a child is making a craft, so you can follow the entire process of creating a paper toy. We made it out of white paper and then colored it, at the same time discussing why the insect has circles on its back. You can take double-sided colored paper, and then draw the dots with a marker.

So, look at the origami diagram. Initially, what we need to do is turn a rectangular piece of paper into a square. We bend one edge of the leaf to the other, we get a square, and cut off the extra strip. The same way we make a snowflake.

Now we lay out the resulting triangle (if the square is bent in half) with the apex down.

We bend its ends to the top (which is now below).

We turn our workpiece over. The outlines of some kind of insect are already beginning to emerge. We need to enhance this impression with such a detail as wings. We make them from the edges of the workpiece, connecting in the center.

All that remains is to register head and tail. We make the head like this: we bend the remaining tip towards the center until it stops, and then in the direction away from it. We bend the tail once.

The most pleasant moment - coloring. Paints and felt-tip pens are unlikely to work; the former will wet the paper, the latter will be too bright, and all uneven lines will be clearly visible. The best option is colored pencils. Yet again - motor skills develop child's hands.

Don't forget about the black dots of our ladybug!

Applications in kindergarten are not only a great way to occupy a child’s time, but also a way to develop his skills. One of the most popular appliques is the ladybug applique.

This application can be made in a variety of techniques, and the ladybug itself is even a kind of magical object, it’s not for nothing that when ladybugs sit on your hand, poems are read to them: “Ladybug, fly to the sky, bring bread, black, white, just not burnt!”

And such traditions have existed in Rus' from time immemorial. People asked ladybugs about their fate; these insects are the heroes of omens. In other countries, ladybugs are also something that connects God and people.

For example, the Danes ask the ladybug to convey to God a request for good weather, the Norwegians wish the ladybug to find their love. In France, it is believed that a ladybug on amulets or pendants protects people from misfortune and danger.

In most countries, ladybugs are associated with the beginning of spring, a good year, good luck and a good harvest.

Craft made from colored paper

The easiest way to make a ladybug is to make it out of colored paper. The ladybug applique can be used by children of different ages, it all depends on the complexity of its implementation.

Materials and tools required for work:

  • black cardboard;
  • red, black and white paper;
  • glue;
  • scissors;
  • black wool threads.

On a sheet of black paper, draw a circle according to the template and cut it out. This will be the body of a ladybug.

There should also be eyes on the head - these are two more small circles made of white paper. Using a felt-tip pen, draw black pupils on them.

Now let's move on to the wings. Take red paper and trace two circles according to the template, cut them out.

Fold both circles in half.

Now you can cut out the dots for the wings from black paper, or you can draw them with felt-tip pens. There are 3-4 points on each wing.

You can glue the ladybug to a white sheet of cardboard and insert it into a frame, or you can plant it on a green piece of paper. Let's try the second option.

Cut out a leaf shape from green cardboard.

We glue the body of the ladybug to it. Then we glue the paws. We made them from small pieces of black wool threads. You can also make them from plain black paper or even draw them on a piece of paper with a black felt-tip pen.

Now we glue the head slightly overlapping with the body.

And the last step. We glue the wings, connecting their tips at the head, as shown in the photo.

The colored paper ladybug is ready!

Fabric insect

You can also make a ladybug from fabric. This could be a pillow or pillowcase, or maybe a soft toy. First, let's try to make a small toy out of felt or felt with the child.

First, redraw or print the pattern, adjusting it to the desired size. The template below will help.

Let's transfer all the patterns to the required colors of felt or felt. Cut it out.

Then we begin to connect the parts with thread and needle. First we sew the wings and head. After this, you need to embroider black dots on the wings. You can take small buttons, beads, or simply make knots on the surface of the ladybug’s wings.

So, we look at the pattern and find the places indicated by letters on the felt work. We connect them so that the B on the wing aligns with the B on the head. To make the head convex, we connect the V groove on the ladybug's head.

Then we sew two wings together with a red thread or one close to the color of felt.

Now we need to connect the abdomen with the wings and head. To do this, pin it in the middle to the top of the product, sew along the edges, leaving a small hole for stuffing cotton wool or padding polyester inside the toy.

Antennae can be made from threads or thin wires.

Now we need to sew the ladybug to the green leaf.

Ready! A unique toy or keychain (depending on size) is ready! In the same way you can sew a large soft toy and a pillow. To sew a pillowcase, you do not need to sew up one edge, but sew on buttons and make loops.

You can also crochet ladybugs:

You can sculpt from plasticine:

You can make such an applique from many available materials, and it will always look beautiful and attractive! Good luck with your creativity.

In order to decorate your garden, make it original and different from others, it is not at all necessary to spend huge sums. You can very easily make a lot of garden crafts with your own hands from a variety of available materials. And one of the simplest and at the same time cutest crafts is a ladybug. Today we will look at a master class on how to make a ladybug from stones, paper, concrete, plastic bottles and spoons, from plasticine and beads, as well as sew, knit or mold.

Stone crafts

How to make a ladybug from stones and pebbles

In order to plant bright and cheerful ladybugs in your garden, you can use ordinary round stones - sea pebbles or whatever you can find will do. This craft is done in an elementary way - the stone is painted red, with black paint - you draw wings, dots, eyes and antennae. Then you can settle the resulting insects in the grass, plant them on stumps, stick them on tree branches or decorate a flower bed. Another option is to paint ladybugs on a large rock.

Concrete ladybug: DIY mosaic

A similar way to make a ladybug, but this time we will use artificial stone and multi-colored tiles. Making a ladybug out of concrete is very simple. We will need cement, which can be bought at any hardware store, an old basin or bowl - a mold for crafts, polyethylene and red and black tiles or something from which we can make a mosaic. This is what we get:

We put a plastic bag in the basin so that the cement does not stick to the sides, pour the cement, wait until it hardens and dries. We take it out and sand it with sandpaper. Next, we glue a mosaic on top of pieces of red and black tiles. The cement ladybug is ready, all that remains is to place it in a prominent place in your garden.

Making ladybugs from clay

If you haven’t found any suitable stones and it’s difficult for you to make a mosaic, you can simply make a ladybug out of clay with your own hands and paint it with paint.

Plastic crafts

Craft for the garden: ladybug made from a construction helmet

If you have an old construction helmet lying around somewhere, preferably red or orange, then there is another simple way to make a ladybug from a helmet. The only thing you need here is black paint. In the most extreme case - a regular black marker. We just draw spots, eyes and wings - this is the figurine for the garden and it's ready.

How to make a ladybug out of plastic bottles

You will find more ideas for crafts made from plastic bottles in our previous article. Today we’ll see how to make a ladybug from plastic bottles with your own hands. The most popular idea is a flower bed in the form of this insect. For such a flower bed, the bottles will first need to be painted black and red (not entirely, but only the bottoms + 5-10 cm). Here is a diagram for such a flower bed:

Another way is to string cut bottles on a fishing line to make a voluminous ladybug that can be used to decorate the garden. This figure can then be trimmed with scissors. And this is what we can get:

DIY ladybug from plastic spoons

You can also use plastic spoons for country crafts. It is very easy to make a funny ladybug out of plastic spoons with unfolded wings. For each craft you will need three spoons. We paint two in red and draw dots - these will be the wings, one - in black (this will be the torso). Glue all three spoons together. Add a head - made of buttons, clay or something suitable. The craft is ready:

How to make a ladybug from corks

For garden crafts, you can use any materials at hand, and even a ladybug can be made from any round or oval object. For example, you can use caps from beer or plastic bottles. They will just need to be painted with red paint and black - draw dots, eyes and antennae.

Handicrafts: sewing, weaving and knitting

Beaded ladybug

Needlewomen can also use the ladybug symbol for their crafts. For example, you can weave it from beads. Of course, you won’t get a large figurine, but even such miniature beaded ladybugs can be used to decorate the garden, for example, you can hang or glue them on trees.

ladybug pillow

Sewing a pillow in the shape of a ladybug is also not difficult. All you need is red and black fabric. If you want a fluffy pillow, just sew it from fur. It's time for details: the dots can be made from beads if you are sewing a small pillow, or not round, but in the shape of hearts.

Knitted ladybugs

If you like to knit, then why not knit a ladybug that can be used to decorate both your garden and your home. It could be a round knitted pillow, a figurine that can be hung on a tree or on a fence, placed on a fireplace or on a shelf, a toy, a funny pot holder or something else.

Crafts with children

How to make a ladybug out of paper

You can also make ladybugs out of paper - a great idea for crafts with children. As an option, you can simply fold red paper using the origami technique and draw eyes with dots. You can also glue a ladybug from several parts. You can simply place such crafts on the grass or make a garland and decorate the veranda or trees in the country with it.

Ladybug using quilling technique

A more complex way to make a ladybug out of paper is to use the quilling technique. We have already written about spring quilling. There is a simpler option - you will get a flat ladybug or a small round one - if you wind strips of red paper in a circle with a slight shift. Or you can make this gorgeous volumetric quilling - a ladybug:

The idea is the same - you just need to mold a ladybug, as you already did from clay or plasticine, and then paint it in the desired colors and use it as a garden figurine.

How to make ladybug sandwiches from tomatoes

A delicious and original idea for sandwiches is to decorate them with a ladybug made of tomatoes and olives. For the body, you can take either regular or cherry tomatoes (in the second case, the figures will simply be smaller), we make the head from black olives, and the dots and tendrils are made from the same. The sandwiches themselves can be anything.

Cake or salad in the shape of a ladybug

Another delicious idea is to make a sala or cake in the shape of a ladybug. A cake in the shape of this funny insect is a great idea for a children’s party; you can easily bake one for your child’s birthday. A salad in the shape of a ladybug can decorate any holiday table. This is what it looks like:

Sushi ladybug

And the last one for today is ladybug sushi. For me personally, this is an unattainable ideal, but if you have extensive experience in making sushi and rolls yourself, you can try this interesting idea:
