The traditional symbol of Victory Day is a red carnation. This flower is usually given to veterans on May 9, placed at the eternal flame and memorial places.

The red carnation is a symbol of courage, the triumph of a just cause. It symbolizes freedom, honor, loyalty and shed blood. Once upon a time, a red carnation (like a rose of the same color) meant fiery love, but... too often these flowers were given to veterans and laid at obelisks. This tradition came to us from France, where girls gave red carnations to their lovers going to war: “I love you, come back victorious! » Napoleonic soldiers considered the red carnation a talisman that aroused courage. The ribbon of the French Order of the Legion of Honor is the color of a red carnation.
Now the red carnation is the flower of the victorious soldier, the flower of memory and admiration (Translated from Greek, “carnation” means “divine flower.”)

I decided to use this flower as an element for interior decoration in the music hall for the Great Victory Day.

I want to show one way to make a carnation from corrugated paper.

Materials for work:
- corrugated paper
- PVA glue
- scissors
- cotton buds
- ruler
- a simple pencil

Progress:

take red corrugated paper, measure 10 cm from the edge

cut off the strip

cut the strip into squares measuring 10 * 10 cm.

take a square and bend it in half

fold the square bent in half again in half

bend the resulting small square diagonally

bend the free edges (which diverge) towards the bent middle of the triangle

align the top edge by cutting off the protruding part of the paper

For the carnation stem, I decided to use a ready-made stem from a store-bought artificial flower. I took apart the flower.

I inserted the stem into the center of a cotton swab. The result is a flower.

In this way, I collected all the flowers, formed bouquets of 5 pieces and added them as an element to the wall panel made of bamboo branches.

What is summer without flowers?! So, feel free to take corrugated paper, which can easily be replaced with plain napkins. From such a light and thin material we can easily get a delicate flower with bright red petals.

In addition to corrugated paper, green half-cardboard will come to the rescue. You can’t do without it here, because you need to add a stem, receptacle and leaves to the bud.

Necessary materials:

red corrugated paper;
green half cardboard;
scissors;
pencil;
glue.

Manufacturing stages:

1. Draw an even circle on green half-cardboard. We cut along the contour and get a template that should be transferred to red corrugated paper. To do this, trace the outline of the template with a pencil five to six times.

2. Cut out all the parts along the contour. We get ready-made elements for creating petals.

3. Place all the corrugated paper circles in a pile.

4. Bend the bottom part up in half.

6. Using scissors, create many cuts along the top round edge.

7. Open the blank once and get a clove bud.

9. Glue the receptacle to the center of the red carnation bud. Next we attach the stem and two leaves to it.

10. All layers of corrugated paper in the carnation bud should be carefully straightened to obtain lush petals.

These have a flat appearance, so they are ideal for creating some “zest” on the front of the card.

This variety of carnations can be immediately distinguished from others due to the fact that they have only one large flower on the stem. This is exactly what we will learn to make from available material.

Manufacturing stages:

1. To create a carnation bud, you need to take red corrugated paper. Also, this material can be easily replaced with crepe paper or regular plain napkins.

We measure out dimensions 20 x 7 cm on a strip. Cut it out and get a long strip. Bend the top part down 2 cm.

2. Cut a small piece from the floral wire. We attach one end of it to the right side of the paper strip. You can immediately prepare several more blanks in the form of paper strips to immediately get a whole bouquet of red carnations.

3. Now we will make small teeth along the entire upper edge using small scissors with a sharp end.

4. We begin to twist the red strip around the wire. We create several folds to obtain a voluminous flower.

5. Secure the end of the corrugated paper to the wire with glue. As a result, we get a lush clove bud with small teeth.

6. We create a receptacle in the lower part of the craft using green tape, which should be tightly wrapped around the lower part of the red corrugated tape. Next we move on to thin wire.

To give it the necessary texture and color, you should reapply the tape. We wrap it tightly around the entire length of the wire. Also, if desired, you can cut out large leaves from it for the stem of the flower.

7. As a result, we will get a cute carnation flower made of corrugated paper in a short period of time. We create a couple more of these flowers in the same way and get a cute bouquet for any holiday.

These flowers are artificial, so they do not need water or careful care. So they will decorate the interior of the room for more than one week and even more than one month!

If you want to know the easiest way to create a blooming carnation bud from crepe paper, then this article is exactly what you need. The resulting flower will be bright if you take the right paper, airy if you use a sufficient number of layers, small or large as you wish. In fact, there is nothing difficult in such work.

How to make carnations with your own hands step by step

Prepare a roll of corrugated paper of minimum density. In the process of work, you need to make thin layers and crumple them, so soft paper is better suited. Cut the strips, choosing the width depending on the size of the bud you want to make. When cutting off the desired strips, you can move along or across the roll, in this case it does not matter.

Fold one or more strips in a zigzag pattern to create a square layered piece. Our goal is to learn the easiest way to model a flower, so all layers will be processed at once together, and not separately. This will save a lot of time.

Holding the folded tape in this position, use a thin wire or needle to make 2 holes clearly in the center. Insert the ends of the wire into the resulting holes and twist or sew with thread.

This way you will attach all the layers at once. In this case, glue is also not needed. This fastening method is faster and more reliable.

Place a cardboard template of a circle on top, draw it with a pencil or directly by eye, and cut out the circle. Even if you end up with a slightly crumpled edge, this will not cause any difficulties. This is exactly the effect that should be achieved.

Make random small cuts along the edge of each circle, using scissors about 0.5 cm inward. It is also possible to make the outer edge wavy.

Now all that remains is to model the flower. Its pomp directly depends on the number of layers used. Starting from the top circle, begin to lift each layer up and push it with your fingers. Corrugated paper holds its shape well, so after creasing it will not straighten out. Assemble the middle and continue this operation further.

So gradually process all layers. Lift one circle at a time, pressing down on all sides. Circumferential cuts will provide a lighter, more believable design. After processing the last layer, you will see a weightless ball in front of you.

The beautiful carnation is ready. Its petals are tender and quivering, like those of a real flower. Make a stem for it or glue it on paper.

Paper flowers are a win-win option, since their production does not require either enormous effort or large material costs. But decor made from artificial flowers will turn out no worse, and will delight you for a long time. From all the many master classes on making, you will choose what you like, and in this article we will look at how to make carnations out of paper with your own hands.

Materials for making paper carnations

In order to create a beautiful flower, you will need a minimum of materials, namely:

Colored paper. We will look at several options for crafts - from napkins, corrugated paper and origami carnations from double-sided colored paper. You choose the color of the carnation yourself, and accordingly the color of the paper will be to your taste. Plus green paper for decorating the stem and petals;
Glue. You can choose either pencil glue or PVA;
Scissors;
Wire.

Method number 1: carnations from napkins

This version of carnations is suitable for decorating postcards, stands or wall newspapers. For this method, you will additionally need a stapler to fasten the petals.

Fold a napkin of the chosen color in half twice to form a square.
We cut a circle out of it, simply cutting off the corners.
We fasten the middle of the circle with a stapler twice, applying the staples crosswise.
We make cuts around the entire circumference of the circle, approximately half a centimeter.
Carefully separate and fluff each layer of the napkin. The resulting flower can be glued to a wire, or you can decorate a holiday card.

Method No. 2: Corrugated paper carnations

In this method, flower petals can be attached to wooden skewers, or to wire.

For each carnation we take 4 squares of paper, measuring 10 cm by 10 cm.
Fold each square in half twice. We fold the resulting small square diagonally and get a triangle. We bend one of the edges of the triangle up and cut off the protruding part.
We unfold the triangle one turn and cut out the edge with teeth.
Unroll until a semicircle is formed and cut along the bends to the middle.
We make all four leaves in the same way. Cover the end of the skewer or wire with paper, forming the middle of the flower. We make a hole in the middle of the petals, grease them with glue and thread them onto a skewer. We form a flower by lifting the petals up.
In order to make the flower stem green, you can wrap the skewer with corrugated paper or ribbon of the desired color. If desired, cut and attach leaves.

Method No. 3: Corrugated paper carnations, wavy

These carnations turn out very beautiful, delicate and look like natural ones.

For one flower we take a piece of paper about 50 cm long and 10 cm wide. We wrap the long side 3 cm inward.
Along the entire length of the segment, stretch the paper with your fingers, making it wavy.
Apply a flower stem, wire or skewer to the edge of the paper and twist it inward. At the same time, we straighten the edges so that the flower turns out lush.
We secure the formed bud with wire at the base and cut the end so that a downward angle is formed.
Wrap the lower part of the bud and stem with green floral tape or corrugated paper.

Whichever method you prefer, the result will be a beautiful decoration for your holiday decor. What color of carnation you choose, in all the diversity of the palette, you can give free rein to your imagination. Who said that a flower must be red?

We stack the circles on top of each other.

Using scissors, we make tooth-shaped petals on the sides.

Using scissors, divide each circle into two equal parts.

Let's straighten it out a little. And we begin to make flower buds. To do this, you need to place the first part horizontally. Glue the second part on top of it, but at an angle. This will give the carnation volume.

In the same way, but in a mirror form, we attach the third part.

Now you should cut out the base of the flower and stems from green half-cardboard. All parts must be cut out in three pieces.

We connect all the blanks together to obtain the finished clove.

And here our colored paper carnation is ready. By placing two more flowers next to it, you get an excellent bouquet that can be used to decorate a greeting card.
