The idea of weaving beaded trees and flowers is becoming increasingly popular among needlewomen who want to decorate their home. To get a beautiful product, you may need to make a drawing of it in advance to guide you during the work process. Materials for making are easy to find in craft stores.

How to weave a wisteria tree from beads

Weaving trees with beads is a creative endeavor. Creating wisteria using small beads is a labor-intensive process that requires patience. To make the ornamental plant as interesting and beautiful as possible, show your imagination. Experiment with the color of the grapes and leaves. For example, for an autumn tree, use yellow or red when forming the foliage. The clusters can have different shades. They can play the role of fruits or inflorescences.

To weave wisteria from beads you will need the following materials:

  • beads of different colors:
  • green;
  • white;
  • soft pink;
  • hot pink;
  • lilac (purple).
  • foil;
  • PVA glue;
  • alabaster (plaster);
  • wires with a thickness of 0.3, 0.4, 1.3 millimeters;
  • plastic bottle;
  • threads;
  • paint (gouache or watercolor) brown.

The scheme for creating a beautiful wisteria tree from beads is built in several stages:

  1. Weaving brushes.
  2. Creating foliage.
  3. Collection of branches.
  4. Shaping the trunk.
  5. Assembling the whole product and installing it on a stand.

Wisteria brushes

You need to form delicate tassels from beads according to the following instructions:

  1. Take a wire whose width is 0.3 mm. The cut should be 1 m long. String 6 lilac beads on it so that they are in the center. Twist the wire to form an oval of beads.
  2. Continue working on one side of the cut. First, make 2 loops of lilac beads, 7 each. for each oval.
  3. Next you need to make 2 loops, following the color sequence in them (3 beads of each color): hot pink, lilac, hot pink.
  4. Then collect loops containing 10 bright pink beads. Make 2 of these petals.
  5. Create 2 loops of 12 beads in different shades of pink. Alternate colors 4 pcs.
  6. The next 2 petals should contain only 12 beads of a soft pink shade.
  7. Complete the composition with a pair of white loops. To make each you need 13 beads.
  8. Fill the other end of the wire with a similar sequence of loops.
  9. Twist both parts of the brush together. Arrange the petals so that they are facing towards the top. Bend their ends slightly to the sides.
  10. To get wisteria, you need 32 pieces of such blanks.

Leaves

The foliage of the wisteria tree must be woven using green beads, according to the instructions:

  1. Use 0.4 mm wire. String 10 beads onto it, forming leaves from this amount using twisting, similar to the elements of a brush.
  2. The leaf is formed from one loop at the top and five on each side. There will be 11 ovals in total.
  3. Connect the sides of the wire to each other. You will need 32 blanks.

Assembly of branches

This process is not difficult, take a wire 1 mm thick, a thread for winding and get to work:

  1. Twist the bunch and the wisteria leaf together. Do this with all the preparations.
  2. Then, connect the 2 branches with wire. To hide unsightly metal, wrap them with thread.
  3. From this pair, make an indent of 1 cm and secure 1 more workpiece. Only 6 branches should have a common trunk. Do the same with the remaining parts. Attach 2 more small pieces to the fifth one.

Forming a trunk

The trunk of a beaded wisteria tree is formed by twisting the previously obtained branches; they need to be collected in this order:

  1. The top is 2 branches connected with 3 mm wire. Wrap them with thicker thread.
  2. Attach another branch below. Rewind that too.
  3. Attach a branch of 8 blanks, having previously made a winding.
  4. The last part needs to be wrapped with a thick thread and attached with wire just below the previous one.

As the wisteria blanks are connected, a trunk is formed, which must be hidden under the winding, forming a single structure by twisting. Direct the branches in different directions to make the beaded tree look beautiful.

Assembly and installation of wood

Start installing the resulting decorative wisteria from beads by forming a stand. To do this, cut the bottom of the plastic bottle so that the resulting saucer is not too deep. Carry out the assembly process based on the following steps:

  1. Pour a mixture of glue and alabaster, taken in equal proportions, into a plastic saucer.
  2. To ensure that the beaded tree holds well, form small support roots directed in different directions.
  3. Insert the craft into the base. Wait for the mixture of glue and alabaster to dry completely.
  4. Start painting. First, carefully apply the paint to the branches. When the parts are dry, wrap them in foil so as not to get dirty when working with the barrel.
  5. Paint the base of the tree using several layers of watercolor or gouache mixed with PVA so that the color does not turn out transparent. After the dye has dried, the wisteria tree will be ready.

Find out how to create unique

Anyone who has ever seen this fabulous tree in person will never forget it. Blooming wisteria with its lush cascading clusters is impressive at first sight. That is why many people want to have at least a modest craft in their home, reminiscent of the splendor that they once saw. Beaded wisteria or can be a great gift and home decoration. Beginners and experienced craftswomen who have mastered beadwork will undoubtedly be delighted after watching this master class on making wisteria. However, first of all, you need to be patient, because making wisteria with your own hands is not so quick and easy.

To work on wisteria, we can use any beads that you have or sell in your nearest store - Chinese, Czech, Indian, Japanese. In principle, uneven Chinese beads can be used for wisteria, where the size of the beads often does not match, since hardly anyone will pay attention to detail. So, to make wisteria beading, purchase the following materials:

  1. Green beads for leaves – 80-100 g (two shades: light green and yellow-green);
  2. White, lilac and pink beads – 70-80 g (pink beads in several shades);
  3. Glossy pink beads – 15 g;
  4. Glossy yellow beads – 8 g;
  5. Green melange beads – 10 g;
  6. Thin wire, diameter 0.3-0.4 mm, green and silver;
  7. Thick wire diameter 1 mm;
  8. Gypsum;
  9. Brown floss threads – 2 skeins;
  10. PVA glue;
  11. Acrylic paints;
  12. Decoration materials - moss, grass, sand, pebbles and more at your discretion.

Making wisteria flowers

We begin our master class on making wisteria by preparing flower brushes. First, you should look at the photo of real wisteria. We see that the wisteria tassels have a darker shade at the end and the further from the end it gets lighter. Therefore, we take a silver wire and string 6 beads on it of the darkest color we have, lilac. We form a loop and twist it tightly. The ends of the wire are intertwined with each other so that several turns are obtained. Five or six turns will be enough and you can move on to the next loop.

All subsequent loops are formed at one end of the wire. We make two loops of lilac beads on it, each with 7 beads. The next two loops already consist of nine beads. You need to collect three pink beads, three lilac and again three pink. The next two loops will already have 10 pink beads, 2 light pink, again 4 pink and 4 more light pink. The next pair consists of 12 light pink beads and 13 white ones. Everything is also done with the second end of the wire. Beads are also placed on it in the same order and carefully twisted into loops.

The loops on both sides need to be turned mirror-image relative to each other, and their tips should be bent slightly. The wisteria brush will turn out graceful and beautiful. We need to make 32 such bunches.

Good afternoon

Here is the second part of the master class: Tree of beads - wisteria.

In the first part, we wove sprigs of wisteria from beads. And now we will collect and form the tree itself.

We collect a tree from beads - wisteria

To assemble wisteria from beads, you need to make a frame from thick wire by connecting three pieces together. For stability, we twist the bottom of the barrel into a ring, as in the photo below.

Using thin wire, we attach the wisteria branches to the trunk, which we made in the first part of the tutorial.

We shape the tree the way we like.

When the final result is achieved and the tree looks the way it will be in the end, we secure the branches firmly to the frame with threads, while removing the initially wrapped wire. It is necessary to ensure that the frame is completely hidden under a layer of thread.

Decorating the wisteria trunk

To prevent the branches from interfering with work, we wrap them in cellophane or cling film.

And then we do the following:

1. Cut out a circle from cardboard, the size of which should match the size of the ring twisted from the wire frame at the base of the trunk.

2. Mix equal parts of PVA glue and water until smooth. We wet the cotton wool in the solution, squeeze it out and apply a thin layer to the cardboard.
We install the tree. The moistened cotton wool should occupy the entire space between the cardboard and the wire.

We completely cover the trunk and base with cotton wool.

We apply paper napkins to the barrel and moisten them with PVA glue.

Carefully cover the barrel with soaked napkins.

We give the trunk a bark relief using available tools (a modeling stick, a knitting needle or a toothpick).

Leave until completely dry in a ventilated area.

Beaded tree stand

You can make a homemade beaded tree stand using plaster. To do this, you need two containers, one of which is slightly smaller in diameter than the other. Containers for cottage cheese or cream work well.
Grease the larger pan from the inside with vegetable oil and the smaller pan from the outside.

1. Dilute the plaster with water until creamy and pour it into the bottom of a larger mold about one centimeter thick. Let it harden slightly.

2. Place a smaller mold on top and fill the sides. Let it dry.
3. Remove the plaster cast from the mold.

4. Give it the shape of a stand, removing excess with light movements of fingers dipped in water.

Pour a thin layer of liquid gypsum mortar onto the bottom of the dried form and quickly place the tree on top.

Smooth out the joints between the stand and the barrel. Leave until the plaster is completely dry.

Painting and varnishing the wisteria trunk and stand

Any water-soluble paints (gouache, watercolor, etc.) are suitable for painting the barrel and stand.
The first step is to paint the stand.

After the stand has dried, paint the barrel.

The trunk is painted in several layers - from a light tone to a darker one. The dark shade of brown should not completely cover the light tone. It is desirable that the cracks of the simulated bark be painted a dark color, while the protrusions remain lighter. This method of painting will give the trunk a more realistic pattern.

At the base of the tree, you can add green paint.

After the paint has completely dried, we begin varnishing the wood. First, varnish the bottom and leave until completely dry. Then we varnish the top of the stand and the tree trunk. We decorate the stand with beads, on top of which we apply another layer of varnish.

On the finished beaded wisteria tree, straighten the leaves, adjust the clusters of flowers and admire the result!

Detailed instructions with a photo of each operation will help even a beginner to cope with the task.

Materials and tools

You need to prepare:

    beads of different shades to create flowers (pearl, lilac, pale pink and pink or others in a matching range);

    green beads for leaves;

    a tree stand (a tray from a pot for indoor plants or the bottom of a tin bottle);

    4 coils of wire of different diameters (0.3, 0.4, 1 and 3 mm);

    brown gouache and brush;

  • roll of foil;

Wisteria from beads: diagram of branches

To weave wisteria branches, take the thinnest wire and cut a meter-long piece from a skein. String 6 lilac beads onto one end, move them to the middle of the wire, and then bend it in half and twist it to form an oval loop.

    the first two are 7 lilac beads;

    3 and 4 - 3 pink, lilac and pink again;

    5 and 6 - 10 painted pink, 4 pale pink beads;

    7 and 8 - 4 pink, 4 pale pink, 4 pink, 4 pale pink;

    9 and 10 - 12 pale pink;

    11 and 12 - 13 pearl-colored beads.

When one row is completed, a second row is woven using the same pattern from the other end of the wire.

The workpiece is formed into a branch - loops are twisted at both ends to make a trunk.

Then straighten the loops so that they are slightly turned towards the first.

For a tree you will need to make 32 of these parts.

Weaving leaves

A piece is cut off from a coil of wire 0.4 mm. String green beads on it. To make the leaves look more natural, you can take beads of different shades and mix them.

After collecting 10 beads, form a loop. String 10-12 pieces again and twist them into a loop. Continue until you have 11 stitches.

Fold the 2 ends of the wire so that the sixth turns out to be central. The rest are twisted so that a branch comes out.

32 such blanks are made.

Assembly of parts

Step-by-step instructions will help you understand how to assemble wisteria from beads when all the elements are ready:

    each brush with flowers is connected to leaves to make 32 pairs;

    a double branch is wrapped with wire with a diameter of 1 mm;

    the structure is wrapped with green or brown floss on top;

    another double branch is added to the entwined pair, departing 1 cm from the junction of the first;

    form a large wisteria branch, securing 4 branches in a row.

3 branches are made in this way. On the next two, 1 more brush and a twig with leaves are additionally attached.

Of the remaining 8 pairs, the longest branch is collected.

Assembly of the structure

Taking the thickest wire, they begin to form the tree trunk.

2 small branches are applied to each other, and then fixed with wire and wrapped with floss.

Having retreated a little, another small branch is attached to the same wire and wrapped again. As branches are added, the trunk is twisted slightly to give it the appearance of a natural tree.

Then a branch consisting of 6 double elements is attached to the trunk, then one that is assembled from 8.

Lastly, another part of 6 pairs is attached.

The wisteria bead tree is almost ready, all that remains is to build the base and finish the trunk.

Equal parts of plaster and PVA glue are mixed, part of it is poured onto the bottom of a bottle or into a tray from a flower pot. The tree is placed in the solution that has not yet hardened.

Beaded branches are carefully wrapped with pieces of foil.

The remaining solution is coated with the barrel. Leave the structure to dry.

When the plaster has completely hardened, the wood is painted with brown paint.

The craft is ready.

Having learned how to make wisteria from beads and making your own, you can decorate the composition to your taste - for example, arrange a pond next to the tree. To do this, you will need a blue gel candle: the mass melted in a water bath is filled with a recess made in advance in the plaster.

By showing your imagination, it’s easy to create a unique souvenir that will decorate any home.

Video on how to make wisteria from beads

For relatives. Beaded trees at home will never wither, do not require special care, they look great in the interior.
To create such a miracle, we will use Czech beads.

We will need:
White beads – 30 g;
Blue beads – 25 g;
Dark blue beads – 25 g;
Green beads (bugles) – 30 g;
Gray wire 0.03 – 1 coil;
Thick wire (25-30 in length) – 2 pcs;
Matches - 2 pcs;
Gypsum – 800 g;
Paint (brown) – 100 ml;
Thin wire (for fastening);
Wire of medium thickness;
Toothpicks;
Super glue;
Stones (large and small);
Glitter powder (blue);
Pot (I take a tray from a flower).

Well, let's begin our interesting work. To begin, select shades.

We cut off a thin wire about 70 centimeters long. We string 5 dark blue beads, lead them to the middle of the wire and twist them using the “loop method”.

We work with one side. We collect beads in this order: 27 dark blue beads, 4 blue, 4 blue, 10 blue, 1 blue, 19 blue, 5 white, 5 blue and 16 white.

Then we twist the loops in the following sequence: 6 blue, 8 blue, 9 blue, 3 blue 4 blue 3 blue, 1 blue 10 blue 1 blue, 14 blue, 5 blue 5 white 5 blue, 16 white.

And the same thing on the other side.

This is what we got.

We weave the leaves from glass beads using the French weaving method. There are 27 leaves in total, 9 for each tree.

This is what we got. There are approximately 12-13 branches per tree. We twist 3 branches into one.

We make a wire blank. Take 1 thick birch wire, bend it slightly at the top. We wrap the middle one around it and also leave a piece on top (these will be branches) and form the legs of the tree at the bottom. Now we take even thinner wire and make the 3rd branch the same way. The middle wire should be slightly higher than the other two. And there are three such blanks: 1 high, 1 medium, 1 low.

And so three trees. Then we dilute the plaster with water until it becomes thick sour cream and add a little super glue. Pour gypsum into the pot. We insert three wisteria on top and lightly cover the bottom of the trunks with plaster. I also inserted 3 green bushes (for the aquarium). Let it dry overnight.

Then paint the trunks with plaster. Since there is a thin layer of plaster, it will dry in half a day.

We lay out a path from small pebbles. At the back we use glue to build a fence with large stones.
