Giving money is very simple, but in order for it to be beautiful and not look like a simple transfer of cash, it needs to be put in an envelope. And if the person being gifted is dear to you or you just want to surprise him, then the issue of packaging must be approached with all seriousness.

It doesn’t matter whether the envelope is large or not, the basic process is the same for them, so take the step-by-step instructions for forming an envelope from A4 sheet as a basis:

  1. Select a sheet of the desired color. It can be made from an ordinary sheet of office paper, but if there is a need in an office supply store, you can buy not only a colored sheet, but also one with all sorts of drawings.
  2. Now you need to fold it so that you get a square. Remove excess paper with scissors, but not tearing it off, so that the edges are smooth and beautiful.
  3. Place the square so that its corner faces up.
  4. Using a ruler, bend all its corners inward, forming a square inside.
  5. Bend the top corner, it will close your envelope.

Fasten the remaining corners with a small drop of glue, not allowing them to stick to the inside of the envelope, only to each other.

How to fold an envelope from a landscape sheet without glue?

You don’t always have glue on hand to secure the corners of a homemade envelope. In this case, you need to put in a little more effort and slightly change the technique of forming the mailing envelope. This is not difficult to do, especially if you have basic origami skills.

You don’t always have glue on hand to secure the corners of a homemade envelope

  • form a square from a landscape sheet, removing all excess with scissors;
  • make the edges as smooth as possible so that they do not spoil the appearance of the structure in which your letter will lie;
  • carefully fold the resulting sheet so that an even fold line connects the opposite corners of the square, forming two stripes;
  • we place the straightened square with one corner up, bend the lower corner to the center of the structure;
  • now combine the side corners in the same way, but so that they do not reach the center, but are simply nearby;
  • fold the corner of the bottom of the envelope so that it forms a flap connecting the side parts;
  • put a letter or money in an envelope, fold it inward, hiding its corner in the inside.

Origami from an album sheet

For those who are not afraid of difficulties and want to surprise the recipient with their work with a landscape sheet, there is an option to create a beautiful envelope using the origami technique. It will take no more than half an hour.

For it you will need:

  • a rectangular sheet of paper for origami or scrapbooking;
  • centimeter backing;
  • a simple pencil;
  • iron ruler.

It will take no more than half an hour

How to do:

  1. Fold the sheet with small sides facing each other so that the wrong side of the sheet is on the inside.
  2. Place the fold of the paper down, and bend the top part towards you so that it takes up a quarter of it.
  3. The resulting flap needs to be folded again, but upwards, covering the inside with the front part. Now the entire sheet is folded 8 times.
  4. Unfold the last fold and fold it in the middle to create a strip with part of the back and part of the face.
  5. Now we bend the lower corners into triangles and tuck them under the valve obtained earlier.
  6. We turn the structure over and bend it on the sides, with the formed part facing outward on both sides of the envelope.
  7. Turn over and spread out only the folds you have made.
  8. We form the upper flap by bending it towards the colored stripe of the lower flap.
  9. On the sides of the envelope you should have two rectangles on each side, on the bottom of them you need to draw diagonals diverging from the envelope.
  10. Fold the top edge of the flap towards the drawn diagonal on each side.
  11. We open the structure, form inward bends in the lower corners so that we get triangles.
  12. Fold the belt over and put it into the triangle, folding its side like a shutter.
  13. We also form side triangles on the top flap, making a common triangle.
  14. Having spread it out, we bend the folds, as in the case of the bottom flap.

The resulting triangle will close your envelope with a message or money enclosed in it. This is all done easily.

How to make a postal envelope from A4 paper?

Of course, the easiest way is to find a template for such an envelope on the World Wide Web and, after printing, fold it along the required dotted contours. In fact, it will need to be folded and glued. If printing is too easy, you can use any of the above methods. Although it is difficult to work with your own hands, the emotions that the recipient will reward you with will more than repay your efforts. Such envelopes are stored carefully and such an act is remembered for a long time, especially if needlework was not your strong point before.

Envelope for money

To make it, you need to draw a template on medium-density cardboard.

  1. In the center, draw a rectangle with sides 24*21 centimeters.
  2. On the wrong side, draw an inner rectangle with a side of 10 cm.
  3. On one side, draw a protruding rounded part of 1 cm, and on the other - 2 cm.
  4. Fold all the parts along the folds and pull the cord through the side flaps.

Such envelopes are stored carefully and such an act is remembered for a long time.

The envelope is ready. You can decorate it however you like.

Large A4 envelope

Any forming technology is applicable to it, but if we take the latter as a basis, then all lines need to be drawn based not on the indicated numbers, but on the format of the sheet itself.

First, correctly draw the small side valves, and then the main ones from them.

Making your own envelope is quite simple.

If the recipient is a man, then the color of the sheet and ribbon should be chosen strictly; for ladies, you can decorate it with lace, feathers or other decor that the recipient will like.

What else can be made from A4 sheet: ideas

There are a lot of options for crafts, and most often their creation is limited by a lack of imagination. But all this can be fixed if there is a desire.

Therefore, the following ideas will be useful to you:

  • envelopes of various shapes and formats;
  • regular and 3D greeting cards;
  • bookmarks;
  • Christmas decorations;
  • decor for the room;
  • ribbons;
  • airplanes and ships;
  • any craft using the origami technique;
  • flowers;
  • hat decor and much more.

As a basis, you can take pure white paper, colored paper, with drawings and embossing. You can make amazing tandems with fabric, special self-adhesive paper, colored tape, etc. With a certain approach, you can reach a level where your crafts become original works, for which there will be incredible demand.

Send a letter - modern youth associate this action only with email. But sometimes you have to send paper letters, but they require an envelope. In the era of electronics, you won’t find such a small thing in every home, so you have to think about how to make an envelope out of paper with your own hands. It seems like there is little wisdom, but without skill one cannot cope with such a task.

Sometimes you want no stranger to read a greeting card to your loved one, but sometimes you need to put money in the envelope as a gift. Therefore, we suggest you learn how to make an envelope from A4 paper. Watch the videos provided, repeat the steps of the instructor, and you will be able to cope with such a simple task.

First of all, you need to cut out a square from a standard rectangular sheet of writing or colored A4 paper by placing the short side to the long side and cutting off the remaining rectangle. Next we proceed as follows:

  • By folding two corners together, we determine the middle of the inflection line.
  • Having straightened the sheet, we connect one of its corners to the middle of the marked diagonal.
  • In the resulting triangle, the ends are bent slightly further than the marked middle.
  • To keep the envelope in place, the tips of the folded corners are inserted into each other.

The letter envelope is ready. If you put something in it, you can close the top triangular flap and, if desired, even seal it with glue. It will withstand even postage without falling apart or coming unglued. This is an extremely simple design that does not require complex cutting out of shapes and gluing individual elements.

A sheet of paper folded in half will not fit into such an envelope; it will have to be folded at least twice.

Video lesson:

If you use a standard A4 sheet of writing paper as the starting material, you will get a small paper envelope with dimensions of 92 x 135 millimeters.

To begin with, the A4 sheet is folded in half along the short side, the fold line is well ironed.

Then one side of the sheet is folded towards the fold line and bent back halfway. Several such bends form a dense multi-layer strip, to which the remaining free corners are folded. The entire envelope structure is bent along the edges of these corners, and the bend lines are carefully ironed.

The resulting bend lines are markings for further bends of the sheet, which already form the envelope itself. At this stage, you need to carefully watch the video instructions so as not to get confused in the sequence of folding the sheet. In some cases, it is necessary to mark the upcoming inflection lines with a pencil.

The corners folded inward keep the envelope from opening.

Video lesson:

From a standard sheet of A4 writing paper you can make a simple envelope for money.

  • The sheet is first bent in half along its length, then again, and the midpoints of the sides are marked.
  • The corners of the sheet on one side are bent to the center line, the sides are bent so that their edges do not reach the center line a little.
  • The structure is folded in half to mark the bend line, the valve with bent triangles is bent inward.
  • The structure is bent again, and its rectangular edge is inserted behind the bent corners.

The result is a rectangular envelope with a flap with curved corners, quite accurately corresponding to the size of banknotes in denominations of one thousand rubles. The front side remains clean, and you can make any congratulatory inscription or drawing on it. You can put a gift amount of money in an envelope and, without sealing it, hand it to the hero of the occasion.

Video lesson:

Greetings! When you want to congratulate your loved ones with a craft, a card or the equivalent of money, you want to package it all beautifully.

That's why there are so many beautiful paper envelopes. You can very easily make them yourself, especially since I have selected options for you to suit every taste: from simple to original.

But these pockets can be used not only as an attachment to a gift, but also have everyday functions, for example, to protect a disk or to decorate a corner in a girl’s album.

For many years it has been popular to give money for any significant event, but simply handing it over is not very polite, so it needs to be framed as a gift. And the envelope will help you and me with this.

It can be rectangular to the size of the banknotes, or you can create an original one, for example, square.

I liked the idea where a paper heart is used as the basis for the entire craft. Then, using a ruler, folds are made in the middle of the hemispheres. Along these lines, the heart is folded and fixed with glue for reliability.

I’m also presenting a master class on how to quickly arrange a cash gift for a birthday. By the way, all the ideas are also suitable for weddings, because this is also the birthday of a unit of society - a family.

I liked the laconic and elegant design, how you can give money to a man or boss.

I also found an unusual option that also combines the functionality of a postcard.

To quickly create a gift design, use the most popular template.

Using it, we make envelopes that can be decorated in an unusual way if you glue an insert with a message inside.

This is how it is done step by step.

It is better to take double-sided paper and not very thick, so that creases do not appear on the folds.

If you need to make packaging according to the size of the banknote, then I suggest using the template below. Everyone's currency is different, it may not necessarily be rubles, so I deliberately do not give the sizes. To avoid mistakes, measure your banknote.

In craft stores there are many different backgrounds for creativity, including paper lace from which you can create such tenderness.

For a gift for a schoolchild or student, use a pencil as a basis.

The triangular part secures the money tightly so that it does not fall out.

1. Make a drawing on A4 sheet and cut out all the details.

2. Take this diagram as a basis. The tip can be immediately cut out of colored paper.

3. This is what the workpiece looks like when ready for completion.

4. Stick the tip on the inside and the craft is ready. The front part can be decorated with voluminous details.

Also, in order to support young happy parents who have recently discovered the joys of motherhood and fatherhood, I propose to make symbolic packaging. After all, a child’s birthday is one of the most important events in the life of every family.

Manufacturing process:

1. We will need this template with dimensions of 200 mm by 245 mm.

2. For decoration, take openwork napkins, lace or satin ribbons.

3. The wish insert diagram measures 90 mm by 155 mm.

4. The envelope needs to be bandaged, as is usually done in the maternity hospital. If a boy is born, a blue ribbon is most often used, and if a girl is born, a pink ribbon is used. But I don’t think it’s necessary to choose these particular colors.

I will provide many more templates for you below in the appropriate section. You can also use your own sizes.

Original ideas in scrapbooking technique

Scrapbooking allows you to create very delicate and cute products using different volumes, textures and backgrounds. Mixing materials such as paper, fabric and wood is popular here. The results are very cozy crafts. And there is never a shame in giving them.

Everything is closed with a tape that fits it on both sides.

The most convenient way to make folds is with a ruler. Then all the lines will be straight.

This option is assembled from three parts. The side pockets are glued to the base.

But first they need to be cut out. The length of the sides of the triangle is equal to half the length of the base.

We make hems on both parts.

An original idea for packaging, when each bill can be hidden in a separate house. And from these pockets create a whole book. Look what a wonderful book it is.

You can buy envelopes, or you can roll them yourself, see template options below. Using double-sided tape, connect all the pieces.

The front and back sides need to be decorated. To do this, take a thick sheet and wrap it with the selected background.

To glue the cover, it is better to use PVA glue.

Another envelope for money using this technique, but on a different template. It has an oblong shape.

This is how you decorate the front part of the craft. Look how many different textures there are.

All lines must be carefully bent; if you don’t have a professional tool, use a ruler.

They don’t always give only money; perhaps you want to thank the person for the service and please him by putting a chocolate bar inside, but you need it to fit exactly.

Let's take a closer look.

Take this diagram. It is better to adjust it to the size of the chocolate bar, because they also come in a square shape.

The fold lines are highlighted in dotted lines, and the places that need to be cut are highlighted in blue.

The edges can be beautifully decorated with special stamps or scissors with a curly edge.

Go along all the folds with your nail so that the workpiece takes the desired shape.

We fold and decorate our box.

I liked this design because sometimes you want to please someone by giving them a sweet treat. And this idea allows you to beautifully present such an ordinary gift. And, most importantly, it is suitable for people of any age and profession.

Simple DIY paper envelopes for discs

Discs are becoming obsolete, but they are still used not only for recording films, but also for storing information. For example, photographers and videographers can still present them to you with a recording of a wedding or other holiday. Of course, it is customary to store such ceremonial attributes in a beautiful design.

For example, use tab holders on both sides of the envelope. It opens like a postcard.

Or glue a decorative pocket made of thick fabric and decorate this shell using the scrapbooking technique.

At our house, dad removed all the discs from the boxes into homemade envelopes, so they take up less storage space. If you also want to save space or simply couldn’t find a box, then this diagram will help you easily make a pocket from an A4 sheet.

There is another option to pack the disc without using scissors and glue.

I also suggest this template as an idea because it has a convenient option to close the disk.

Blue lines mark the lines that need to be bent. The width corresponds to the diameter of the disk, so we take it 12.4 cm.

An idea made of cardboard with two pockets (compartments)

What do you think of the idea of an envelope with two compartments? Its functionality immediately increases. By the way, if you increase the width of the part, then this craft can also be used to store disks, only two of them can already fit.

Manufacturing process:

1. We make a part according to the template and bend its lower ends.

2. But in advance you need to draw fold lines from the inside of the workpiece with the blunt side of a knife, this is what it will look like.

3. Make beautiful curves at the edges. You can cut out parts in advance from a different color and stick them on top of the pockets.

4. Cut along the contour and glue the edges to the base so that the compartments do not turn back.

To add originality, these same edges can be sewn on a sewing machine or decorated manually with an overcast stitch.

How to make an envelope from A4 sheet so that it closes?

The most optimal sizes are obtained from an A4 landscape sheet. You can not only give cash gifts in them, but also send letters. The post office now accepts envelopes of different colors and sizes. The main thing is to indicate the correct address and stick the correct stamp.

To make your craft more beautiful, do not take a regular white sheet; now there is paper of various shades of the same format.

You can roll this option with a wavy edge. All sizes are indicated, I think it will take you no more than five minutes.

I also offer an option from a sheet of the same format, but I would like to pay your attention not so much to the form, but to the interesting idea of closing the envelope. With the help of buttons and loops, it turned out not only very functional, but also elegant. After all, the buttons also acted as decoration.

Another similar option with buttons.

The easiest way to close it is to use a tab that fits into a slot.

Even the simplest versions of already boring forms can be made themed or designed.

The sheet can hold up to eight small pockets. You can put a wish or a small photo in each and give it to your mother, loved one or friend.

You can also close the craft with the side parts, like this option.

It is made of four circles of the same diameter.

Which bend in the middle.

And overlapping each other they form such a blank. The lower part of the parts must be glued. Since you have already rolled each circle, the blanks themselves form a square base. All that remains now is to bend them, hooking the edge of the previous part onto the next one.

A similar idea for square packaging, but with a rope bow.

Here the base that we assembled in the previous version is immediately cut out. And only semicircles are bent.

See how you can fold it step by step.

Now you need to thread a string or floss into a needle with a wide eye and make holes in two places and pull it through.

I also invite you to watch a short video that shows a master class on how to fold a letter wrapper from a landscape sheet.

A letter in this homemade design will also be accepted by any post office.

Idea with children using origami technique (step-by-step instructions)

In general, almost any envelope is made using this technique. Except for the fact that some templates are equipped with additional tabs and tabs to better secure the packaging. Therefore, you often need to use scissors to decorate them.

But, if you only have an ordinary standard sheet, then let's start learning the basics of origami. After all, this technique is much more difficult to do than a regular envelope.

So, the first scheme allows you to create a very non-standard craft with truncated ends.

The same scheme, but greatly simplified, was used to create this pocket.

A standard envelope can also be made without the use of scissors, all that is needed is your accuracy and evenness of the lines.

And, when you become masters in this technique, then try to make a package that transforms into a box.

Another detailed instruction on how to quickly assemble a package using a completely ordinary square sheet.

You will need a square piece of pretty paper. You need to find the fold line; do this by folding the sheet diagonally.

And bend one end of the resulting triangle towards itself, onto the front part. Then you need to tuck the side and hide the end inside.

Craftsmen do not stop at well-known patterns, but try to create new amazing forms.

Or I saw that the designers have developed a version of the envelope that is also an insert with information.

I offer step-by-step instructions, described in the video, for creating a craft with a heart-shaped edge. You definitely won’t see such packaging from any of the other invited guests. You will be the only owner of such a copy.

This option does not require additional design. With its original edge it already stands out and attracts the eye.

Regular templates and diagrams

Well, now it’s time to bring you the most popular and simple templates. You can use anyone as a basis and know for sure that you will always get an envelope.

There are patterns with and without liners, rectangular and square, with round corners and regular ones, etc.

A template with dimensions so that you don’t have to guess and run around with a ruler to the banknotes.

Pattern with a beautiful wavy top.

Complex idea with gluing allowances.

Another simple option for wrapping a cash gift.

Using the dimensions indicated above, you can create this shape.

Or limit yourself to 16 centimeters and simply wrap a gift at the bottom.

Girls will definitely like the following scheme.

Here, straight lines show where the folds need to be made.

This package can easily fit a chocolate bar.

And another option for rectangular packaging.

Thank you for your attention. Use any of the options described above to show that you spent your time preparing for the holiday and wanted to make the newlyweds happy. After all, homemade beautiful things have no analogues and are very highly valued.

Of course, the easiest way is to buy envelopes at any post office. But sometimes situations arise when there is a need to make an envelope yourself. Perhaps you need custom packaging for gifts, money or greeting cards?

Purchased envelopes were almost never original. And if you need exactly this, then the best way out is to make an envelope from A4 paper with your own hands. In this case, the originality of the product depends solely on your imagination. But the recipient will certainly appreciate your skills and efforts, because, be that as it may, handmade work is always held in high esteem.

How to make an envelope from A4 paper

Stock up on white or wrapping paper, scissors and patience. Everything is not as difficult as it seems at first glance! The design of the envelope directly depends on the style of the gift and your personal preferences. Using vintage paper, chic congratulatory envelopes are designed, which can be additionally decorated with satin ribbons, antique stamps, beads or artificial flowers for solemnity.

A small ordinary envelope with your own hands

Now we will tell you how to make a small envelope with your own hands, which even a person far from needlework can handle. So, if time is pressing, and you need an envelope right now, use the following algorithm:

  1. Take a regular A4 sheet of paper and cut a square out of it.
  2. Bend it exactly in the middle, but just barely marking the fold.
  3. Fold the edge of the bottom sheet towards the center mark.
  4. Fold the side corners of the envelope so as to create vertical folds.
  5. Then bend the top corners, making sure that they are larger than the bottom ones.
  6. The result will be a triangle at the top, which must be folded so that the envelope can be closed.

A more complex option: how to make an envelope from A4 paper step by step instructions

A homemade envelope can be classified as the very basic level of origami science, which even children can master! It should be noted that a very small envelope is obtained from an A4 sheet, but most often there is no need for more. Accordingly, for a large envelope it is necessary to take large sheets of paper.

Stages of work:

  • bending one of the corners of the A4 sheet to the edge, we make a square, and cut off the remaining part and put it aside as unnecessary;
  • take the resulting square and bend it clearly diagonally, and turn the resulting triangle with its base in your direction;
  • bend the top of the triangle to the center of the base, after drawing a ruler to mark the exact place of the bend;
  • then we divide the diagonal into 3 parts, placing points;
  • We bend the right and left corners to certain marks, while fixing the folds with a pressed ruler;
  • bend the free corner to the previous fold line;
  • then we begin to form a pocket, for which a small triangle is placed vertically, and the pocket is opened in different directions using 2 fingers, fixing the deflections;
  • and at the last stage we bend the top of the envelope to insert the corner into the pocket. All is ready!

Do-it-yourself A4 paper envelope: a very simple way

This envelope option is considered one of the simplest. To do this, take an A4 sheet and mark, according to the diagram, 72 mm at the bottom left and at the top right. Then draw diagonals and cut off the excess paper. The result is a rhombus, which is the main part of our envelope.

The side corners should be folded towards the middle, and the bottom corner should be placed slightly higher than the side corners. It is very important not to forget to fix each bend using a flat object or a regular ruler.

Do-it-yourself envelope from A4 sheet: master class

Now we will describe another master class, with the help of which we will seal the information written on a sheet of paper in a beautiful and original envelope. To do this, perform the following manipulations:

  1. Take an A4 sheet of paper, write text on it and fold it straight across the middle.
  2. Lightly mark the center of the sheet and unfold it again.
  3. The upper right corner must be folded towards the middle of the sheet.
  4. Do similar manipulations with the lower left corner.
  5. Now the edge of the sheet on the right must be folded so that the edge of the triangle folded in step 3 coincides with the cut.
  6. Perform similar actions with the left edge of the sheet.
  7. Then you need to rotate the resulting part 90 degrees and bend the upper right corner along the dotted line. In this case, the edges of the figure should coincide. Perform similar manipulations on the left. The product is ready!

Envelope "soldier's triangle"

During the Second World War, it was not possible to use factory-made envelopes, so the soldiers made their own paper triangles on which they wrote the address. A similar skill can be useful in our time. So how to make such an unusual envelope from A4 paper?

Prepare the following tools in advance:

  • A4 sheet of paper;
  • scissors;
  • paper glue;
  • ruler;
  • simple pencil.

Are you interested in how to make an envelope from A4 paper? Step-by-step instructions will help you understand all the nuances:

  • cut a rectangle from an A4 piece of paper, then align the long side diagonally with one of the short sides;
  • when you bend the triangle formed as a result of previous manipulations, it should turn out to be isosceles and complemented by a paper strip;
  • take the edges of the strip and bend it to the base of the triangle;
  • the result is an envelope tab, which is tucked into the pocket at the top and the product is considered ready.

Envelope with a heart

Before work, you must prepare scissors, thick paper or cardboard measuring 300x300 mm, thin decorative paper, decorations in the form of beads or flowers and a satin ribbon.

Take cardboard and cut out a heart from it using a template. Using the same template, 1 cm from the top edge, make an outline on decorative thin paper, which is the basis for the envelope. Now we draw lines: horizontal, 120 mm from the top of the sheet, and the same, but lower, 100 mm from the first line.

At the points where 2 lines intersect (forming the outline and the bottom), draw two straight lines of a vertical type. All you have to do is cut out the heart and fold it along the drawn lines. At the very end, decorate the resulting product with a satin ribbon and beads. It’s great if the congratulations are written on the heart itself.

DIY CD envelope

Does it happen that you need to transport a disk with information, but there is no packaging at hand, or you want to present someone with a disk with memorable recordings? Now we will tell you how to make a simple CD sleeve.

You need to take an A4 sheet and place a disk in the center of its lower part, which serves as a guide and helps to avoid errors in size. Then fold the sides, and the disk should be folded up along with the paper, turning it to the other side.

All that remains is to wrap the top and make sure that the disc lies in the middle of the envelope. Now remove the disk from the paper blank and glue the internal components of the envelope. However, do not forget that there must be enough disk space left! The corners of the top part should be folded inside the envelope, and the lid should be placed in the pocket.

Is the form ready? Decorate it to your liking and don’t be afraid of flights of fancy! Your efforts will definitely be appreciated!

With the active development of online communication, the traditional exchange of letters and postcards via mail is fading away. By and large, this is a natural stage of the development process. After all, the procedure for exchanging messages at a distance has become simpler, which means that the goal of making a person’s life easier has been achieved.

On the other hand, in the days of regular mailing, a couple of paper envelopes could easily be found in every home.

DIY envelope

Envelopes, due to their versatility, are still popular today, with the active development of technology. In envelopes, it is still accepted:

  • give monetary gifts;
  • store paper documents;
  • sort photos;
  • a ready-made envelope, pasted into a folder or magazine, will serve as an excellent pocket for small items.

At the same time, there is no constant need, as before, for such an item. Therefore, it is not always available when the need arises. In this case, the problem is easily solved by making paper envelopes yourself.

If you carefully examine the photo of the paper envelope, you can see A4 format. This type of sheet is used when preparing most documents, and, therefore, is present in almost every home.

It is worth noting that for the manufacture of envelopes, both ordinary white office paper and colored or painted packaging paper of the appropriate parameters can be used.

Methods for making envelopes from A4 sheet

There are several different ways to make an envelope from A4 paper. Depending on the purpose for which the product is being manufactured and the size of the object being inserted into it, one of the options can be used.

Folding without scissors

A convenient way when it is not possible to cut paper to the desired size. The sequence of folding the envelope will look like this:

  • on sheet A4, draw a line along exactly in the middle (if it is not possible to draw a line, you can mark it with a fold, bending the sheet in half);
  • the corners of one of the short sides of the sheet must be bent towards the middle until they touch;
  • on both sides of the long edges of the sheet, bend strips 3.8 cm wide;
  • The bottom of the paper should be folded up to the point where the folded corners of the top meet.

The envelope is ready for use. All that remains is to put a letter, postcard or other flat object inside (behind the side curved stripes). When an object is placed in the product, it is covered with the bottom.

The final step is to fold the top of the envelope so that it covers the resulting pocket. You can secure the corner and close the sides (if necessary) with tape or glue.

Origami envelope made from a square sheet

This technique uses the same A4 sheet, but to make an envelope with your own hands, you will need to shorten it. You need to bend one of the vertices of the paper so that the two sides perpendicular to each other are aligned in one line. The “tail” of the sheet protruding from the side is cut off and a square sheet is obtained, folded diagonally.

Further production looks like this:

  • the square is smoothed out and folded again, but along a different diagonal;
  • the sheet is smoothed out again and laid on a flat surface in the form of a diamond;
  • the lower corner is bent upward until it touches the central point;
  • the lower side, with a bent corner, is folded again to the horizontal fold line of the square - you get a triangle;
  • the lower left vertex of the triangle is bent towards the center of the lower edge so that the corner extends 5-7mm beyond the central point;
  • the lower right vertex is folded in a similar way;
  • bend the tip of the right vertex 90° at the central point of the bottom side of the workpiece (should stick up);
  • Press the tip of the protruding tip against the workpiece, and straighten the corner itself - you will get a small diamond in the center of the bottom side of the workpiece.

Now you need to place the desired item inside the envelope. After this, the top of the workpiece covers the envelope and is secured with the tip in a small diamond shape. You can do without using glue.

Envelope letter

The most economical way to create an envelope. Suitable when you need to pack a written message written on A4 paper:

  • fold the paper in half in the crossbar;
  • smooth the sheet and bend its upper right corner until the side line coincides with the central fold line;
  • fold the lower left corner in the same way;
  • the right and left sides of the sheet are folded into strips so that their lines coincide with the edges of the bent corners - you get a rhombus with truncated sharp vertices;
  • rotate the workpiece into a horizontal position counterclockwise to form a parallelogram with truncated sharp vertices;
  • the upper right corner of the figure must be bent down so that the line of its “truncated” top is equal to the bottom edge;
  • the top of the bent corner is tucked behind the fold line of the side to which it is directed;
  • The lower left corner is folded in the same way, tucking into the resulting pocket between the bent right corner and the fold of the upper side of the figure.

The envelope is ready and sealed. For greater strength, you can use tape along the edges.

Thus, regardless of the available accessories, you can create your own paper envelope. The choice of manufacturing method remains a matter of taste.
