At the moment, the resource is mainly aimed at beginners; almost all assembly patterns are quite simple, but interesting even for those who have been interested in origami for a long time.

1. Don’t have anything to do with your child? Teach him how to fold simple origami paper. This will not only interest him, but also develop fine motor skills of his fingers, teach him patience and attentiveness, and introduce him to the world around him. Children love to do things with their own hands, and not only children, it is always nice to create something so that later you can proudly say: “I made it myself.”

2. The best gift is a handmade one. An unusual paper craft is an excellent option, because the gift turns out to be absolutely unique, and the main thing is that it is not just a hastily purchased item in the nearest store, but an original item that was made specifically, for which a person spent time understanding the origami diagram, sometimes even not one hour. Some will say that giving a paper craft is not serious, but just look at this rose, it’s like a real one! And from these you can collect a whole bunch. Of course, you can also give money, but even here you can present a gift creatively by making a paper hare or bull out of money.

3. Valentines. Yes, yes, here you can also show your individuality and surprise your other half not with an ordinary heart cut out of paper, but with a beautiful, neat paper valentine folded using the origami technique.

4. Useful little things in the form of paper envelopes, beautiful gift boxes or photo frames. All this is, first of all, original, unusual and not at all difficult to do yourself using step-by-step origami diagrams.

5. Origami is a way to decorate a room. A paper swan made from modules can take its rightful place in any home and attract the admiring glances of guests. Don’t forget about kusudama – bright flower balls. Such paper crafts can be hung on a string in any corner of the apartment.

Nowadays, paper is the cheapest and most accessible material. What can you make from paper with your own hands? The first thing that comes to mind is, of course, a postcard.

DIY gift

Creative with love

A postcard has long been a companion of any gift for a celebration, and in some cases a wonderful independent gift. A striking example is valentines. Thick paper or cardboard, various colors, scissors, glue - this is the minimum set of tools that is needed. The simplest option is to fold the sheet in half and decorate with applique. Any decorative material can be used: pieces of fabric, lace, ribbons, buttons, and so on. The possibilities are limited only by your imagination. If you have a child, involve him in this activity, he will be delighted. With a little patience, you can get great original work.

You can make a three-dimensional postcard from two layers of paper. To do this, a pattern is applied to the inner layer and cut along the contour in a certain way. Using the game of two colors, you can get such wonderful postcards.

Postcards made by you will leave the brightest memories of you

Scrapbooking technique

Postcard decorating techniques are widely used in another type of paper craft - scrapbooking.

– this is the production of family or personal photo albums dedicated to any event: wedding, birthday, travel, any event that can be told about using a photo collage. Scrapbooking has long gone beyond photo albums, and today many things are decorated with this technique: boxes, packaging, pictures, calendars.

Children's photo album

Despite the fact that the necessary materials for this exciting activity can be bought in specialized stores, there are many recipes online on how to make special paper or decorations for scrapbooking yourself. In particular, paper is made from newspapers, wrapping paper, perfume boxes or even egg boxes, with the addition of grass, thread, glitter or confetti.

Like postcards, scrapbooking uses half beads, ribbons, braid and lace for decorations. In addition, paper decorations made according to the technique are used. parchment And quilling

Pergamano technique

- embossing technique on parchment paper. A professional tool can be successfully replaced with a regular pin with a round tip or a crochet hook. Nail clips and the same pin will be useful for making holes. And an old computer mat will serve as a backing. Patience and imagination will help you create works of art.

Pergamano was invented in Europe by nuns during the Middle Ages. This is how they designed the pages of Holy Scripture.
It is believed that they were the first to use another technique - quilling: this is the art of making appliques from rolled thin strips of paper. The nuns wound thin paper strips with gold edges onto bird feathers and used the resulting spirals to decorate books, medallions, and frame icons. Today, quilling masters widely use it in decorating and interior design.

Pergamano “Happy Newborn!”

The simplest elements of quilling can be mastered even by a child of primary school age. This activity will help develop creativity and imagination in your children.

Origami - paper crafts

Origami called the art of the whole sheet, because the classical technique forbade not only cutting the sheet, but even tearing it. Children are happy to fold paper figures, this activity will help to cultivate hard work, perseverance and creativity in your child. Try to do something with your child, and warm memories of this event will remain in his soul forever.

Such a toy is completely harmless, and your baby will in no way be able to hurt himself or his friends. Read on and you will learn how to make a paper sword with your own hands.

Materials:

  • 1 sheet of plain or colored A4 paper;
  • scissors.

How to make a sword out of paper - step by step instructions

Step 1: Make the main folds.

Cut out a square from a standard A4 sheet of paper.

Fold it along both diagonals.

Then bend it horizontally and vertically.

Now take the paper in your hands and turn it towards you so that a diamond-shaped figure forms in front of you. Fold the side parts of the craft on both sides along the folds inward. You should also have a diamond shape on the back side.

Iron the folds thoroughly with some long and even object (ruler, plastic card, etc.).

For the resulting double diamond, fold the upper right corner to the center line.

Fold the top left corner towards the center as well.

Now unfold the right corner and bend it in the opposite direction.

On the other side, do exactly the same.

Bend both corners again.

Open the top flap. On the right side, fold the outer flap inward along the curved lines.

Iron the folds well.

On the left side, also fold the outer flap inward.

Lift the front center flap up.

And open it completely.

Step 2: Make the "blade".

Fold the front right corner towards the center line.

Fold the left front corner to the middle as well.

Unfold both corners and bend them in the opposite direction.

After this, fold the left and right flaps inward.

Iron the folds thoroughly along the folded lines. This will make them more defined and clear.

Turn the craft over to the other side. From this part you will form the “blade”.

Fold the front right side exactly towards the middle line.

Fold the front left part symmetrically towards the middle.

Now pay attention to the points marked on the blade (4 points in total).

You need to make bends at these points.

Fold in carefully on the right side.

And fold it symmetrically on the left side. At this stage you need to be very precise and careful.

Step 3: Design the middle.

Turn the craft over to the other side. Fold the top right corner towards the middle line.

Fold the left corner to the center line in the same way.

Turn the craft over to the other side.

Unfold the folds on the “blade” once, and then once more.

At the top of the craft, draw a straight line between the intersection points of the two corners.

Lift the right corner and bend it exactly along the drawn line.

After this, fold this corner forward completely.

Straighten the paper flap at the front and bend it so that it completely follows the lines of the unfolded corner.

After this, bend the left corner exactly along the drawn line. Fold it forward, and straighten the paper folds in the front part and bend them to the shape of the unfolded corner.

Bend both corners back.

Open the front right flap.

This is what the craft looks like from the side.

At the central point of intersection of the horizontal and vertical lines, fold the top corner to the side.

Repeat in the same way on the other side.

Now return the previously made bends on the “blade” of the sword (indicated by arrows) to their places.

Along a perpendicular line, these bends will not coincide. To make them clearly defined and laid out, first form a straight line on the “cross” of the sword, centered on the right side.

After this, straighten the corner located on the transition line from the center line of the “cross” to the center line of the “blade” and smooth it with your fingers. You have completed one side.

In the same way, bend the paper on the “blade” and “cross” on the opposite side.

Step 4: Decorate the top.

Turn the craft over to the other side.

Fold the lower part on the left side towards the center line.

In the same way, wrap the right side towards the middle.

Bend the upper part of the “blade” on this side so that it is level with the lower part. After this, straighten the pocket at the top of the “cross” and bend it towards the center line of the “blade”.

Repeat on the other side.

Now bend the craft in half in length. Align both sides of the sword's "crossguard".

Bend both front parts of the “cross” downwards.

Unfold the craft. Your two parts at the bottom of the handle should be installed symmetrically. Make sure this is the case.

Now straighten the folded parts on both sides of the “cross” and turn them upward. To do this, press the lower part of the “cross” inward at the points indicated in the photo by numbers 1 and 2. Carefully iron the folds. Adjust if they are not symmetrical.

Repeat on the other side.

Now all you have to do is design the “handle”. To do this, straighten the side flaps along the top of the “blade”. Fold one side of the “handle” toward the center line.

Also fold the other side towards the center line. Return the flaps along the top of the “blade” to their places. Iron all folds well.

Paper garland - This is a universal decoration for both the New Year and birthday. It can also become a permanent decorative element for a nursery or bedroom. Since our task is to teach you how to make paper crafts with your own hands, we will not only tell you, but also show you the entire manufacturing process.

Garland links

Let's start by preparing tools and materials. We will need:

Colored paper

Our goal is a flat garland chain. What do you need to assemble a chain? Of course, links. We will cut them out of colored paper.

3D chain garland

Multilayer colored paper garland

Important! Decide in advance what size links and chain length you need. Proceeding from this, prepare the amount of colored paper.

Let's get started:

Fold a sheet of paper in half.

We draw on one side the shape of the link. It can be a circle, an elongated loop, a square or a heart, whatever you like.

The first link can be used as a template for subsequent parts, so as not to draw it every time.

Cut out the link along the outlined lines.

Having prepared a sufficient number of links, we begin to assemble the garland.

Glue both halves of the link.

We pass the next, not yet glued link into it, and then glue it as well.

We continue to assemble the garland to the length we need.

The whole family can take part in the work process. Distribute responsibilities and things will go faster.

For work we will prepare:

Colored paper (blue, yellow, green and brown).

Pencil.

A piece of cardboard for the base.

Since we have to create a paper and cardboard craft with our own hands, we will draw up a step-by-step instruction.

We cut the paper into squares with a side of 2 cm.

Cut the paper into squares.

We take one square, put the sharp end of the pencil in its center and crumple the paper around the pencil. (In order not to tear the paper, dull the pencil and twist it with a canopy).

Having prepared a sufficient number of details, we begin to “write out” the panel.

Draw the boundaries of the colored fragments on the cardboard.

We begin to fill them in by sticking the prepared squares. To simplify the operation, string the square onto your finger, apply a drop of glue to its bottom and press it to the cardboard.

Origami

If you want to decorate your home with paper figurines, you should pay attention to ancient Japanese art. Original DIY origami paper crafts require care and patience when assembling.

Bride's wedding bouquet

If you decide to take up origami for the first time, it is better to start with simple designs. Here, for example, is how a swan gathers. In addition to the diagram, we have compiled a step-by-step description for such a DIY paper craft.

Take a square sheet of paper of a size convenient for you.

Fold the sheet in half diagonally.

We bend in both directions and return to the starting position.

We bend the sides of the square adjacent to one corner to the central diagonal.

We make swan wings by bending the vertices of the resulting triangles at an angle.

Turn the folded sheet over and fold it up diagonally.

We measure 1/3 of the length of its larger side onto the base of the resulting triangle.

Now the left sharp corner must be turned inside out. Make sure that its sides form a right angle with the base.

Bend the top of the resulting small triangle once to create a swan neck.

We get the tail of the swan by bending the right triangle of our workpiece in parallel. We put them in an accordion and the figure is ready.

Please note that the first experience of assembling origami may not be ideal in execution. Don't worry, repeat folding several times to get your hand full.

Paper crafts - video

In modern schools and preschool institutions, much attention is paid to working with paper. Both toddlers and schoolchildren love to create original paper crafts. Working with it, the child develops his imagination, learns to think creatively, and also develops fine motor skills of his fingers.

You can make simple voluminous gift boxes or voluminous numbers with your own hands by drawing a diagram on a piece of paper. Many crafts are almost impossible to put together without diagrams. Thanks to the templates, you can create complex three-dimensional fakes from colored paper or cardboard. Beautiful trinkets, furniture models and much more - any lover of creativity can do it.

To do this, you need to find any template you like on the Internet, for example on the Country of Masters website. Animals, birds, toys - everything can be created using ready-made templates and diagrams.

Each template comes with instructions on how to assemble the craft. You need to download the template, print it on a printer, and cut out a figure along the contour. On each figure, dotted lines will be drawn on the template along which the model should be bent. Glue the finished model with glue.

Easy paper crafts for kids

Children show interest in paper from childhood. To instill a love of creativity, parents should engage their child in creating a variety of paper crafts. You can make a beautiful, bright bird craft that your child can play with or use for bedroom decor.

A simple cardboard bird:

  1. Using the template, cut out the shape of a bird, draw the beak, feathers, and tail.
  2. Fold an accordion out of a square sheet of colored paper.
  3. Make a hole and secure the wings in it.

If you cut out several birds, you can create a Chinese breeze according to Feng Shui. By hanging the birds on a wooden stick, you can steal the entrance to the children's room with such a craft.

All cutting work must be carried out by adults or under their close supervision!

After working with paper, the child must put the entire tool in a box. This is how accuracy is developed.

Stylish cardboard and paper crafts: three-dimensional paintings

The simplest paper craft is considered to be appliqué; it is often studied in elementary school. A beautiful three-dimensional painting of bright flowers will be an original gift from a child to his mother or grandmother. Flowers can be made from white toilet paper or napkins.

If you use toilet paper for crafts, it is better to use expensive white paper with perforations, which you can then lightly paint over.

Working with napkins is very simple, but you need to be careful not to accidentally tear it. Therefore, you should be especially careful when creating such crafts.

Progress:

  1. Fold the napkin in four and fasten it with a stapler in the middle. Cut a circle from a napkin
  2. Lift each layer of the napkin in turn, forming a lush flower.
  3. Cut out 6-7 leaves from green paper according to the template.
  4. Cut a basket out of brown paper and stick it on a thick red sheet of cardboard. Place flowers and leaves in a basket.

The basket can be made from corrugated paper of any color, but it is advisable to glue it in a couple of layers. Instead of paper, you can use foil for baking or from chocolate bars.

Interesting paper crafts: weaving

There are a lot of ways to weave paper crafts; this is a very interesting and original way of creating crafts.

The simplest thing is to weave strips of paper together in a checkerboard pattern, creating an object. A more complex method is weaving from paper rolled into tubes.

Depending on what paper you choose, your craft will have special properties.

There are several options:

  • Newspaper;
  • Glossy magazine;
  • Tape for cash registers;
  • Plain paper.

Note that it is easier to work with paper, which is durable - the craft will accordingly be more durable. An original drawing will come out of glossy magazines.

You should not intertwine different types of papers together. Thick paper may not intertwine with thin paper, and sometimes can tear it.

Finished products can be decorated with ribbons, beads, quilling flowers, whatever your imagination can do.

How to make a paper craft: preparing paper tubes

Weaving paper tubes is a very interesting creativity. You can make tubes from magazine sheets - the material is quite dense and bright pictures will become an original design on the basket.

To make it you will need:

  • Paper;
  • Scissors;
  • Pencil;
  • Ruler;
  • Glue;
  • Knitting needles.

First, let's prepare the tubes. We simply wind ribbons 90 mm wide of any length onto a knitting needle. We glue the edge, take out the knitting needle, leaving a couple of centimeters inside the tube, and glue the second edge.

It is advisable to wind it tightly, the accuracy of the product depends on this. You should not be distracted by extraneous matters, as this will cause the progress of your work to be lost.

By gradually pulling out the knitting needle and extending the paper onto it, you can lengthen your tube to the desired size. To weave a basket, the length of the tube should be such that it is convenient for you to bend it.

Beautiful basket: paper crafts step by step

So, we have made the blanks, in addition to this you will need a piece of durable cardboard, scissors and glue. You need to cut out the bottom of the future basket from cardboard. To do this, we cut out two cardboard circles using any template.

Now you can start weaving the basket:

  1. On the first cardboard circle we glue paper tubes around the circumference. Glue the second circle onto the tubes.
  2. We lift the tubes up and fasten them with an elastic band.
  3. Glue the end of one tube to the base, then grab the standing tube from the outside, lead it inside and grab the second tube from the inside.
  4. We alternate “outside-inside” until the tube runs out.
  5. To lengthen the tube, you need to insert a new vine at the end of the previous one.
  6. In order for the basket to have a certain shape, when weaving it is better to insert a bottle or jar inside.
  7. We weave all rows to the required height.
  8. If there is a piece of vine left, do not cut it, it is better to fix it inside the finished basket. To be sure, you can glue it to one of the tubes.
  9. Frame tubes can be glued to the walls of the basket.
  10. We paint the finished product with acrylic paint, wait for it to dry completely and paint it again.

The decorative basket is ready, you can put a small artificial flower there or adapt it for hairpins and elastic bands.

Simple paper crafts: angel for Christmas tree

For the New Year, I really want to decorate my house with beautiful decor. The easiest way is to make beautiful paper crafts yourself with a little effort. Even a 4-5 year old child can make this angel craft under the supervision of their parents.

How to make a Christmas angel step by step:

  1. Cut out two 10x10 cm squares from colored paper. Fold them like an accordion.
  2. Make a bend on the accordions, stepping back 3 cm from the end. Bend one accordion to the right, the second to the left.
  3. Glue the folded fold to the bottom of the fan.
  4. To make the head, you need to cut 4-5 strips of paper the width of the edge of the fan. We wind the strips on top of each other, forming a tight circle. Fix the size of the head with glue.
  5. Direct the remaining piece of paper down.
  6. Glue the halves together. The angel is ready.

If you want to decorate your Christmas tree with an angel, you can tie a serpentine to the halo and hang the craft on a branch.

You can also plant it on the top of the Christmas tree. To keep it in place, simply attach the craft to the branch with a regular clothespin.

White paper crafts: 3D snowflake

Volumetric snowflakes look impressive, and they can also be used to decorate your apartment before the holiday and decorate the Christmas tree. To create such a craft you will need paper, scissors, and glue.

How to make a volumetric snowflake step by step:

  1. Cut 6 squares from sheets of paper.
  2. Fold the square in half to form a triangle. Make cuts from the bottom fold towards the top corner. The cuts should not meet, you need to leave a small gap between them. Thus, make 3 triangular cuts.
  3. Unfold the piece of paper and place it in front of you in the shape of a diamond.
  4. Fold the first inner row of strips together and secure with glue.
  5. Turn the craft over and repeat step 4 with the next stripes.
  6. Turn over and fasten all remaining strips.
  7. Use a similar method to make 6 parts of a snowflake.
  8. Fasten 3 parts together with a stapler.
  9. Glue the two finished halves together.

When working, it is better to use glue with a brush or a glue stick.

If you place a ribbon loop in the center when gluing, the finished craft can be hung anywhere.

White and colored paper is suitable for work. A snowflake made of paper will look very unusual, where one side is colored and the other is white.

The simplest children's paper crafts without scissors

An easy and beautiful craft for kids – “The Universe Through the Eyes of a Child.” The picture can depict the month, stars and other celestial bodies. This craft can be made without cutting.

To work, you will need very few materials - glue, confetti (or small pieces of torn paper) and a dark blue sheet of cardboard.

How to do:

  1. Collect confetti from firecrackers or use a hole punch to cut out a bunch of small circles from multi-colored paper.
  2. Take a stencil and apply a design on a sheet of paper - a crescent moon, stars and planets.
  3. Paint over the drawn figures with PVA and while it is still wet, sprinkle with ready-made confetti.

The finished picture can be decorated with a shiny frame; for it you need to finely cut the New Year's rain and stick it along the contour of the picture in the same way.

You can work with such a craft even with preschool children - in kindergartens or early development clubs.

This method can also be used to decorate appliqués. By decorating, for example, a Christmas tree cut out of a green leaf, you can make a beautiful New Year’s craft.

Fascinating paper crafts for children: moving toys

Such toys are very interesting for children. You pull a string, and the animal or doll’s arms and legs move. In fact, making such a figurine is quite easy.

An entertaining puppet toy can also be made from plywood, but since cardboard is more flexible to make, we’ll better analyze this option.

To work you will need cardboard, a couple of buttons, thin wire, scissors, strong thread and bards.

How to make a dog puppet:

  1. We draw moving parts (paws and tail) separately on cardboard and cut them out.
  2. Subsequently, at these points we make fastenings using wire or bard nails. Buttons can be used as a stopper.
  3. We glue the body and head with tape or glue to a bamboo stick.
  4. We insert the fasteners into the pre-made holes in the paws and align them with the body. We tie the paws together using thread or elastic. To do this, we make two additional holes in each foot so that they are located as close as possible to each other, and the thread is not visible from the front side.
  5. We attach the tail in the same way and connect it to the hind leg.
  6. Then we tie another long thread to the one between the legs, it will set all moving limbs in motion.
  7. The final stage is painting, at your discretion.

By making a cat, fox, or hare using a similar technology, you can arrange a puppet theater for kids. Every child will enjoy a performance based on their favorite fairy tale with the participation of animals.

Paper crafts without glue: simple origami for children

The origami technique is quite complex, but you really want to make an interesting three-dimensional toy for your child with your own hands.

This chicken is one of the most interesting and relatively simple crafts. The sheet of paper should be square.

Tip: if you want to avoid severely torn edges when tearing off, bend the sheet in both directions.

For cutting, you can use scissors or a ruler with a sharp utility knife.

Origami chicken step by step:

  1. Fold the square sheet diagonally. Unfold and fold in half.
  2. Having unfolded it, we bend the left and right corners of the square inward, combining them in the middle of the square. The result is a pentagon.
  3. We bend the top of the cone into the middle. Then we bend the same cone in the opposite direction so that a small corner protrudes beyond the border of the sheet - the future beak.
  4. We combine the left and right sides of the entire craft, placing it so that the beak is on the left.
  5. We bend the upper right corner into the middle of the product.
  6. The lower right corner, it consists of two sheets, we bend them outwards of the product. We do this by combining the lower sides, and at the same time we bring a small corner beyond the extreme left border - these are the legs of the chicken.
  7. We turn the small tail corner outward.
  8. We lower the beak down a little. You can paint over it with a regular red pencil for more realism. Draw the eyes.

With such a craft you can surprise a child and intrigue him. Having aroused interest in the toy, you can attract your child to help create similar origami next time.

Master class: DIY paper crafts (video)

In fact, you can make so many crafts from paper and cardboard that you can’t even list them – animals, birds, cars, dolls. They can be voluminous or simple, colored or white. The richer your imagination, the more interesting the craft will be.
