Finally, I can’t help but mention flowers made from the most inexpensive materials, but at the same time having an absolutely charming appearance. Let's make a bouquet of roses in vintage style from toilet paper, yes, just their regular penny gray toilet paper. In addition, we will need: A cardboard reel of used tape, twine, a piece of wallpaper, regular toilet paper, a stapler, gold or silver paint, liquid nails, glue, scissors, a sponge, an old newspaper.
First of all, let's build a stand for our roses, for this we take a roll of tape to make the bottom, trace it on a piece of cardboard, cut out a circle and glue it to the roll with tape. Crumple the newspaper to form a ball slightly larger in diameter than a roll of tape. Cover the edges of the stand with a layer of glue from a hot gun, attach the newspaper ball to the stand, immersing it a little inside.
To make a rose, we unwind a piece of toilette about forty cm long. We fold it in half, lengthwise, and bend the uneven edge inward. We make about 20-30 roses, depending on the size of your newspaper ball. Finished roses need to be painted; this is done not only for a decorative effect, but also to make them stronger. Under no circumstances use paint with an aqueous solvent, otherwise the paper will become soggy and the composition will lose its appearance. It is convenient to apply paint with a sponge or cosmetic sponge; unpainted paint will give a more vintage look to the finished product. You can also use spray paint when the roses are already glued to the base, just don’t apply it too thickly.
We attach the roses to liquid nails, tightly to each other, maybe even overlapping a little so that the newspaper does not show through. The joints can be decorated by gluing pearls or other beads. 8. Wrap the flower with green duct tape, starting from the base of the bud and ending with the end of the wire.
