Description of knitted coats for girls. Knitting a coat for a girl with knitting needles with a detailed description

Beginner knitters who have mastered the basics of knitting products can move on to making children's clothing for the autumn-winter period. For example, a beautiful and warm coat for a girl will be an excellent addition to a warm wardrobe. A knitted children's coat is not a cardigan or even a jacket. You can knit a cute coat with a small hood, insulating it with lining fabric.

Stylish coat for a little princess

This lovely coat for girls, loose from the waist, is designed for ages 4 years.

When describing the general progress of work, we will use the following types of abbreviations:

  1. R - row.
  2. P – loops.
  3. LP - persons. loops.
  4. IP - purl. loops.
  5. IR - purl. row.
  6. LR - front row.

To knit such a cute coat for a little girl, we need the following materials:

  • high-quality children's yarn - 4 skeins;
  • knitting tools No. 5;
  • large buttons – 5 pcs.

A coat for a little girl will be made with the following simple patterns:

  • tangle or regular pearl pattern: 1 R, alternating 2 LP, 2 IP, then changing PI to LP and vice versa;
  • garter stitch - in all rows P is knitted like LP;
  • volumetric braids 2*2 and 1*1.

General mating progress

To knit a front, we use knitting needles to cast on 70 stitches, knit the entire width with a pearl pattern, leave the last 6 stitches for the strap, and knit it with garter stitch. When it reaches 25 cm in height, we begin to perform contractions. Every 2 P we knit 2 P together as an LP until 32 P are left on the knitting needles. In the next P we knit 4 LP, 2 IP. After using 4 LPs, we form a 2*2 braid, we overlap in every 4 R. To create an armhole, 30 cm directly from the cast-on edge, we make decreases along the outer edge 1 time, 3 P, then 2 P, 1 P. We knit the second front by analogy, mirror. On the strip of one of the shelves you need to make holes for buttons. The total height of the children's yoke must be at least 22 cm.

Let's start knitting the back: use knitting needles to cast on 126 stitches. We knit 25 cm with a simple pearl pattern. At this height, we begin to perform decreases: we knit through 2 P, 2 P together, LPs, until 33 P are left in the work. In the next P, we alternate 4 LPs, 2 IPs. Now from 4 LP we knit a 2*2 braid with an overlap of 4 R. Having knitted 30 cm in height, we begin to form an armhole. We make reductions along the outer edge by 3 P at a time, the next P - by 2 P, then by 1 P. After that, we close 13 P in the center and knit each part separately until the total height of the yoke is 22 cm.

Sleeve execution

For the sleeves of a children's coat, we cast on 36 P. We begin to knit 4 LP, 2 IP. Next, from 4 P we form a 2 * 2 braid with crossing in the 4th row. When the sleeve reaches 14 cm in height, we make increases from 1 P, forming 2 P, until the knitting needles turn out to be 72 P. Now we move on to a regular pearl pattern. Having knitted 9 cm, we make symmetrical decreases at the end: first 3 P, then 2 P, then 1 P.

For the belt on the back, cast on 10 stitches and knit 12 cm in garter stitch. Sew the side and shoulder seams according to the attached pattern:

Coat knitting patterns and patterns with descriptions

If clothes are not comfortable enough, do not retain heat, and do not absorb moisture, then they are not suitable for babies. After all, little people, not yet spoiled by social prejudices and vanity, do not attach much importance to their appearance. The main thing for them is that their parents are nearby so that they can play, run and jump to their heart's content.

However, for parents the issue of fashion and style in their child’s clothing is still important. How you want to see your little girl in an elegant children's coat with a handbag and shoes to match. Every mother perceives her child as a part of herself, and therefore she dreams of dressing him in the best possible way. You also need to understand that a sense of style, the ability to combine colors and accessories is instilled from childhood.

Let's talk about outerwear for future fashionistas. In order for a child to feel comfortable in fashionable clothes, they must be made from natural materials. For example, children's knitted coats for little girls made from natural wool would be an excellent option.

If you know the art of knitting, then we can help you make just such a coat for a girl.

Below are instructions for making a knitted coat for a girl, which is easy to create with knitting needles, and even easier - to disassemble with a diagram and a detailed description of the work.

We knit a warm coat for a girl with patterns and a description of the work

It is possible that when you saw such a coat, you were eager to make it, but you do not know the art of knitting. It seems to you that only professionals can do this work. Yes, for starters, it’s better to try knitting a scarf or vest, which is much easier than a child’s coat. But today on the Internet and in magazines about knitting they talk about the knitting process in such detail and colorfully that it is unlikely that anyone will not be able to learn it on their own.

However, if you seriously decide to take up knitting, it is very important to learn how to work with patterns. All information and job descriptions are contained therein. If you read the patterns like an open book, then it will not be difficult for you to combine all kinds of patterns and create your own patterns of knitted clothing. You should not take on complex knitting patterns, because... If you constantly fail, you will lose the desire to learn.

In addition, the tightness of the knitting is important in knitting. So, if you knit a project for several days, you will see that the knitting density changes as you work on the product. To prevent this from happening, you need to train your hand.

These models will not be difficult to knit even for beginners.

Create a stylish poncho for every day

An interesting product option for babies

A child will be comfortable in a knitted coat in autumn, spring and cold summer. This is an excellent alternative to expensive warm jackets. To make your coat comfortable in both cold and warm weather, it is better to make it with a detachable lining. Without lining, the coat takes the form of a raincoat, in which the child will be comfortable in cool summer weather.

The younger the child, the more decorative elements can be added to the product. These can be knitted appliques, patterns of beads and beads, flowers, images of insects.

Another important advantage of the coat is that it goes well with all elements of the wardrobe: dress, skirt, jeans, leggings. This coat would be ideal to combine with a school uniform.

In general, taking into account today's fashion trends, a coat can be worn with both shoes and sneakers. Here's how to wear a coat today.

Another advantage of a knitted coat is that after it becomes too small for the child, it can be unraveled and knitted. If the threads are not worn out, then it can last a very long time.

The disadvantages of this type of clothing include the fact that it requires special care. If you wash wool in too hot water, the product will shrink because... will be 1-2 sizes smaller.

In addition, a knitted product can be easily damaged, so it is not worth playing with.

If the coat model does not provide pockets and a hood, then accessories are necessary for it, because... The baby's head and hands need warmth.

We create a stylish children's product for more experienced craftsmen

If you have already gotten your head around, you can combine certain patterns from different schemes. In addition, you can already adjust the product to size, regardless of what the diagram shows.

Every mother wants her beloved daughter to be the very best: the smartest, healthiest, most beautiful and fashionable. And if a mother knows how to handle knitting needles and yarn, then it will be easy for her to fulfill her wishes, because creating a knitted coat for a girl with knitting needles with a description will not be difficult for her. The coat can be double-breasted with two rows of interesting buttons, it can be knitted with tangles, plaits, patterns, or regular elastic. The main thing is that mother’s love will be stored in it.

You need to know in advance that...

In this article we will try to figure out how to make a knitted coat for a girl using knitting needles according to the description. Here we need to point out that the coat and cardigan (children also wear it) are very similar in appearance. But different names indicate that there are still significant differences in these things. Their patterns are really similar. But the yarn for the coat is chosen much thicker, and the craftswomen knit it with a tighter knit. In addition, a children's knitted coat should be made a little looser, because it will be worn over other clothes - a warm dress, blouse or sweater. And you can’t make mistakes in the depths of the armholes and neckline, because the child will then need to move in the coat, so it is necessary for the girl to not only walk comfortably, but also raise her arms.

The yarn should be thick and dense, because the clothes are intended for autumn or spring.

As a rule, mom can decide for herself whether to use insulation and lining. Of course, such a coat will be much warmer, but it will be more bulky. And the patterns used to create a children's coat should not be loose, but ones that could hold their shape.

Children's coat of milky color. Preparatory stage

Let's figure out what you need to make a children's knitted coat designed for a three- to four-year-old baby.

You will need: mixed yarn, at least half of which is wool, 400 g (per hundred meters 240 g), knitting needles No. 5 and five buttons.

Patterns that the knitter will use when working on the product:

  • garter stitch means that in all rows all stitches will be knit stitches;
  • braids - 1x1 and 2x2;
  • pearl pattern, or in other words - tangle: in the first row of knitting you need to alternate two front stitches and two purl ones; in the second row, as in the rest, knit two purl stitches over two knit stitches, and two knit stitches over two purl stitches.

We knit front panels for a milky coat

To make one front front, you need to cast on 70 stitches on the knitting needles and knit the fabric over the entire width using a pearl pattern. The only exceptions are the six loops outermost from the center. They need to be knitted for the strap using garter stitch, and for the entire height of the piece.

After 25 cm are ready from the start of work, you need to decrease the loops - every two, until there are 32 working loops left. When knitting the next row, you need to alternate four knit stitches and two purl stitches. And then form a 2x2 braid from the four front ones, making a cross in every fourth row. To form armholes, after 30 cm from the start of knitting, decrease three loops once along the outer edge, two loops once, one loop once.

At a height of 15 cm (according to the diagram), in order to carefully decorate the neckline along the inner edge, close six loops once, three times, two times and one loop once.

It is not very difficult to make a knitted coat for a girl using knitting needles according to the description, as is already becoming clear. The second shelf must be knitted using the same pattern and the same verbal “portrait” as for the first shelf, only in a mirror way. We must not forget that on one strip of the shelf you should make three holes for buttons. The total height of the yoke should be 22 centimeters.

We knit the back of a baby coat in a milky color

Knitted coat for girls with knitting needles with a description, we continue to do this. We put 125 stitches on the knitting needles and knit a pearl pattern. When 25 centimeters are ready, after every two loops we decrease the loops by as many pieces as necessary to leave 64 pieces on the knitting needles (twice as many as on each of the shelves).

In the next row you need to alternate four knit stitches with two purl stitches. In subsequent rows of four knit braids, a 2x2 braid is made, and in every fourth row you need to make a cross.

To form armholes in this coat, after 30 centimeters have been knitted, along the outer edge you should decrease three loops once, two times and one loop once. For the neckline, at 20 cm of work in the center, close 13 loops. Knit each part separately until the height of the yoke reaches 22 centimeters.

We knit sleeves and a belt. Putting the details together

To knit the sleeves, you need to cast on 35 stitches on the knitting needles and start working, alternating four knit stitches and two purl stitches. A 2x2 braid is made from four knit stitches, making a cross in every fourth row.

Once it is 14 cm in height, you need to add loops, knitting two loops from one. Continue until the number of loops is 72. After this, smoothly switch to the pearl pattern. Having knitted nine centimeters, symmetrically on both sides - in order to make a sleeve roll - decrease three loops once, two once and one once. After knitting another ten centimeters, close all the loops.

We knit a belt on the back. Cast on ten stitches and knit a strip with garter stitch, the length of which will be 12 centimeters.

Now you can start assembling. The side and shoulder seams are sewn together. The sleeves should be slightly gathered along the edges and carefully sewn into the armholes. The belt is sewn with two buttons to the back. Now pick up 55 stitches for the collar along the neckline of the coat and knit just ten centimeters in garter stitch.

A beautiful knitted coat is ready. The little fashionista will be very pleased. Moreover, it will be impossible to find such a second one.

By the way, such a knitted coat with a hood would also look good. It can be knitted separately, also using pearl stitch, and carefully connected to the neckline.

Knitted coat for girls

A coat for a little fashionista is knitted using cream yarn. Your daughter will be warm and comfortable in this coat.

In the last purl row we make decreases - we knit the 4th and 5th loops together purlwise. Then we knit 4 repeats with a braid and move on to the “medallions” pattern. After we have started the “medallions” pattern, we make decreases for the armholes - 1 time * 4 loops, 4 times * 2 loops in every second row (12 loops in total) Having knitted 2 repeat “medallions”, we knit 4 rows of garter stitch, then we knit “ rice". After 16 cm from the beginning of closing the loops, we close the middle 18 loops, in the next front row we close 8 loops on each side. After 18 cm from the beginning of closing the loops, we close the remaining 20 loops of the left shoulder and 20 stitches of the right shoulder.

We knit 3 repeats with a braid pattern. In the last purl row we make decreases - we knit the 4th and 5th loops together purlwise. Then we knit 4 repeats with a braid and move on to the “medallions” pattern. After we started the “medallions” pattern, we make decreases for the armholes - 1 time * 4 loops, 4 times * 2 loops in every second row (12 loops in total). Having knitted 2 repeats of “medallions”, we knit 4 rows of garter stitch, then we knit “rice”.

After 13 cm from the beginning of closing the loops, we close the neckline on the left in every second row - 10 bar loops, then 1 time * 4 loops, 2 times * 3 loops, 4 times 2 loops. After 18 cm from the beginning of closing the loops, we close the remaining 20 shoulder loops.

We knit the left front symmetrically.

Sleeve

Next, switch to the knitting needles and make increases in the purl row - we pull out the crossed purl between the loops after every fourth loop. We knit 2 repeats with a braid pattern. Then we knit 2 repeats with a braid and move on to the “medallions” pattern. At the same time, after the elastic we make increases on the sides - 1 loop on each side in every 5th row.

After we have started the “medallions” pattern, we make the following increases on the sides - 1 loop on each side in every 3rd row. Having knitted 1 repeat “medallions” (we get 4 loops), we begin to form a round sleeve cap. To do this, in every second row we make decreases on the sides - 1 time * 5 loops, 3 times * 4 loops 4 times * 3 loops, 4 times * 2 loops, 1 time * 5 loops, and then cast off the remaining 10 loops.

Knit the second sleeve in the same way

Lining
Wash all knitted parts of the coat on the wool cycle at 30 degrees, then dry everything on a towel, steam the sleeves and the bottom of the back and buttocks. Next, place the knitted parts on a sheet of paper and carefully trace them. At the same time, take into account the folds of the lining at the bottom of the back, shelves and sleeves and on the sides. The lining parts are shorter than the knitted parts by the width of the elastic and trim. Then we cut out the fleece parts, sew along the shoulders, the sides of the back with the buttocks, sew in the sleeves, sew the hood and sew it along the neckline. It is advisable to first fasten the middle of the hood to the middle of the back.

Pockets and loops

For the loops, crochet 24 loops and tie them with single crochets. Knit 8 pieces. For 4 parts, sew 2 ends with white thread, leaving a loop. Thread the remaining 4 strips through the button, and then sew the 2 ends together.

Assembly
We sew all the knitted parts of the coat along the shoulders, the sides of the back with shelves, we sew in the sleeves, we sew the hood and sew it along the neck line. It is advisable to first fasten the middle of the hood to the middle of the back. We decorate the pockets with bows made of velvet ribbon. Sew pockets to shelves. Then connect the seams of the shoulders of the knitted part and the lining and sew them together. Repeat the same with the side seams, the middle seam of the hood and the neckline. Next, carefully baste the lining along the edges. Sew loops to the strips. Wrap the placket on the hood and sew it to the hood with white thread. Sew a velvet ribbon bow onto the hood.
