Poppies from beads different do-it-yourself weaving techniques (video)

Poppies from beads different do-it-yourself weaving techniques (video)

Many people really like poppies in their various forms: in knitting, embroidery, weaving, and, of course, live ones. And when your girlfriend likes these flowers, there is an even greater incentive to learn something new in needlework. Now we will consider how to weave a poppy from beads, and in two versions at once. Before starting to weave poppies directly, a lot of material was studied, so now, based on experience, we can talk about how to weave poppies from beads, how to make them with your own hands. So, let's start our master class.

Options for weaving poppies from beads

The first way So, the first option. They take red beads of two different tones, as well as black beads for the poppy head and for the stamens. Weaving of poppy petals is made according to the type of leaves, from two parts. First the first half, then the second. Wear 9 beads. How exactly to place these two colors, the performer decides, this is already outside the master class. It is necessary to round the top by inserting a needle into the third bead from the end. Next, we work in the technique of mosaic weaving.

Coming to the end of the row, we collect two beads. It turns out that a flat edge forms in the middle, and bulges form closer to the edges. After we weave again in a mosaic way. Approaching the next end, we collect another bead so that the edge does not have convex elements.

Again, a mosaic is made in both directions, without reducing the number of rows with red beads.
Approaching the black beads, we bevel the weave. There is no need to bring to the end of the row, you can continue weaving until the penultimate bead, then put on one bead and wrap it on the next row.

In the future, we perform the same actions and again weave the weave. Thus, the petal is almost over. When we beveled three times, weave further in a mosaic way, insert the needle into the bead marked with an arrow in the photo and tighten.

After we put on the bead, we pass the needle into the next protruding bead, we collect one more and we pass the needle into the next bead (see photo).

After paying attention to the photo, it is necessary to stretch the needle so as to exit the red bead located in the center.

According to the principle of this element, the next - the second part is woven. First you need to put on the beads, then round off on the second part of the first row. Having completed the second part, end the first in the same way.

After that, the middle part is skipped (there is no need to wear an additional bead above it). Next, you need to insert the needle and exit in the part that is beveled. Now we put on a few beads and stretch the needle into a convex bead, rounding the edges. The same actions are performed until the end of the edge (up to a row of black beads).

After the black beads go to the second half, rounding the edges. At the end of weaving, you can again go in a circle to tighten and secure the edge more tightly.

So we weave 3 petals, after which they need to be sewn. As a result, we get a small beaded poppy with three petals. In general, these flowers come with a different number of petals from 3 to 20! The process of stitching the petals occurs through the three extreme beads from each petal. We connect three petals together. You can make an additional few more of these small petals, combine them into a flower and make stamens for them.

The second method And here is the second version of the “poppies from beads” scheme: for a four-petal flower. Also in the flower there is a poppy box and stamens. Consider in our master class in more detail the following elements: petals and stamens.
Petals 37 red beads are collected on a piece of metal thread 0.75m. They are advanced 0.07-0.09 m from the edge. take the end of the edge, pass it through the last one and pull it out. It turns out a loop. Nearby, the second knot is made of 39 beads. It is necessary to make 7 loops in the following sequence: 37,39,41,45, and then also but in decline - 41,39,37. 22 beads are put on the current end and we pass the metal thread through the upper knot. They pull her up. Now 3 beads are put on and the wire is pulled in the same way through the top at the next knot. Weave knots in the same way until the end of the row. After the seventh knot, 22 beads are put on and strengthened between the seventh and sixth loops. The ends of the wire are twisted.

Stamens There are two types of stamens. First, they take 0.45 m of wire, put 15 green beads on it and weave a loop near the end of the wire. According to this scheme, in total you need to make 5 loops.
10 beads are put on the working end and the wire is threaded through the top one in the loop. Tighten the wire well. Next, put 2 beads on the wire and pass it through the bead on the next loop. Braid all five loops. In order to combine the fifth and first loops, you need to dial 2 beads and pass the metal thread through the top of the fifth loop. They pull it up with quality. Gain 4 beads and thread it through the bead opposite. When tightened, put on 4 more beads and skip in the same way. Take this edge of the metal thread and insert it into the middle of the product in such a way that the metal thread is pulled down. Poppy box came out.

Another type of stamens (needle) is woven with needle beadwork from black material. 14 black beads are put on a 1.1 m metal thread. They are placed near the end of the metal thread and the metal thread is passed in the other direction through 13 beads.

Assembly Now it's time to assemble our flower. On a strong wire you need to wind a poppy box, and stamens around it. We fasten four of our petals perpendicularly.

All actions must be performed carefully, it is better to tie the knots tighter and make sure that the beads fit snugly. In general, work should bring joy. At least a hobby, that's for sure. It's still free time, which should bring pleasure. Inspiration is also important in this work: where without it, when it is necessary to create art?
At this stage, our master class has come to an end. You can watch the video for more details on the beading process. Video tutorials will show you the technique of weaving each part of the poppy flower so that in the future you can repeat the whole process.

Video: How to weave poppies from beads

This beautiful flower was my inspiration in this work!!! A beautiful sky blue color, such a sophisticated, simple and at the same time incredibly beautiful poppy. I hope you enjoy my implementation and attempt to convey the Himalayan poppy with beads and wire.

Necessary materials for weaving poppies:

— 35 g blue matte beads Matsono №10
- 40 g. dark green beads No. 10, matte firm Matsono
— 5 g. yellow Matsono beads, matte No. 10
- wire green, blue, yellow 0.3 mm in diameter
— 2 light green faceted Czech glass bicones 8 mm
— 2 green beads 10 mm
– copper wire 1 mm
- green floral tape
– gypsum

Weave a poppy petal

1 . We cut off the blue wire about 60 cm, collect 35 blue beads, make a loop, next to the next loop of 37 beads and continue to twist the loops in the following sequence: 39, 41, 39, 37, 35 (Fig. 1-2).

2 . Now we collect about 18 beads and pass through the outermost bead of the nearest loop, tighten (Fig. 3-5). Next, we collect 3 beads and pass through the next bead at the end of the loop.

3. Picking up 3 beads, move like this along the entire petal (Fig. 7-8). Again we collect about 18 beads, go down and wrap the end of the wire with another (Fig. 9-10). One petal is ready. In total, you need to weave 10 exactly the same, 4 for two poppies and 1 petal for two buds.

Weaving the middle of the poppy

1. We take 6 yellow beads, twist into a loop and pass through the bicone, then I put on a bead to fix the wire on the other side of the bead and returned to hook the loop of six beads on the other side and in this way it lay on the bicone in an even ring and became pestle-like.

2 . Next, cut a piece of wire about 60-70 cm and twist as many stamens as you can. There should be a lot of stamens. Then wrap them around the pestle, making 2 or 3 turns. Thus, the middle should turn out with lush rows of stamens, like a Himalayan poppy.

3. Make another one in the middle. Next, attach 4 blue petals to them, placing them crosswise.

Green leaf weaving

1 . We cut off a green wire about 45 cm and weave a lot of leaves from dark green beads. Those leaves that are located in the middle of the stem, I wove a little less than those at the foot. Thus, for small leaves, collect 3 cm of beads, and for large leaves, 4 cm of beads.

2 . Next, continue weaving guided by visual images using the French arching technique. In total, I got 6 small leaves, 3 for two of the three flowers and 6 large ones, 2 for each flower.

3 . We sew the leaf, weave it, cut off the unnecessary ends of the wire, fill them and your leaves are ready.

Weave a poppy bud

The bud is woven very quickly and simply. To do this, simply weave 8 small petals. Connect the two together, insert the bead inside, sew the bud from the top of the head with additional wire and go through the bead inside, go out and twist all the ends of the wires. In my work there are only two such buds.

Now make two flower buds. To do this, twist one blue petal and insert it into a cup of two green bud leaves. Twist the ends of the wires together.

Flower assembly

Now we take a copper wire 1 mm in diameter, cut off three pieces of 20 cm and 3 of 12-13 cm each. We wind two blue poppy flowers and one bud onto long pieces. Now wrap all the remaining buds to the short pieces. Step back from the flower 10 cm and in this place fix the bud on a shorter stem. Do the same with the rest of the colors. Wrap the stems with floral tape to the middle, attach 3 leaves to two flowers each and wrap the bottom of the stem with floral tape.

poppy planting

I decided to make a pot on my own guided by a wonderful master class by Oksana Gladysheva
As it turned out, making a flowerpot is not at all difficult, although this is my first experience and I was worried, it all worked out anyway. When the plaster was dry, I painted the outside with brown watercolor. Then she spread more gypsum to a state of thick sour cream, laid out the bottom with paper and filled it.

Literally in a couple of minutes it was already possible to insert the flowers into the plaster, hold the flowers a little and when you are sure that they are fixed, you can let go and wait until your work hardens. This usually happens when the plaster is already cold and white.

I used an ordinary poppy as a decoration, I glued it on PVA glue. To do this, simply apply glue thickly and sprinkle poppy seeds in an even layer. It would be nice to fix it all with varnish, but I don’t have it yet.

That's it, poppies are ready. I hope you enjoy this work and inspire new creative achievements!!!

And a few more photos from different angles and against different backgrounds, so that you can more fully see the Himalayan poppies made of blue matte beads:

Video: How to weave poppies from beads

Bright luxurious poppies are a popular motif for creativity. Needlewomen often use them because of the great decorativeness of this wonderful flower - it is simple and attractive, like a beautiful melody. This can be a panel with their image, painting on glass or ceramics, a brooch made of leather or felt. You can crochet poppies, or make a poppy from polymer clay, or you can weave a whole bunch of poppies from beads and wire!

Weaving a poppy from beads is possible in different techniques. The easiest way is to make a poppy from wire-based beads. It is more difficult to make a tourniquet of Maki beads. Poppies on a black background, made using the technique of hand or machine weaving, have a special attraction. There are other popular ways, all of them are based on the fact that good quality beads will be used in the work.

In some cases, it is not possible to purchase Czech or Japanese beads, then they use cheap Chinese. But before starting work, it is carefully sorted, removing all beads of a non-standard size.

Before starting work you must immediately prepare all the necessary materials and tools:

On a regular sheet of paper just draw petals and leaves of the same size, what is planned to be made. 3 beads are strung on a red wire up to 1 m long, placed in the center. Each end of the wire is passed through the end bead to avoid shifting. Then they apply the workpiece to the sketch and collect the beads of the second row on one of the ends of the wire so that they are inside the contour of the petal. Then the second end of the wire is passed through all the beads of the second row and the ends are carefully tightened.

According to this principle, the entire petal is performed. After the last row is completed, the ends of the wire are passed through the outermost beads for fastening and cut as short as possible. In the same way, weaving all the other petals is performed.

For leaf weaving green wire is used. One bead is placed in the center of the segment. It is immediately fixed in place by passing one of the ends of the wire through it again. Then both ends of the wire are connected and 3-4 beads are strung. Then 5-10 beads are collected on one of the ends of the wire and a loop is made, returning through the first bead. Repeat the action for the second end of the wire. Then again connect both ends and string 3 - 4 beads. At the end of the work, the wire is fixed and cut.

The center of the poppy is made from stamens and a glass bead.

For making stamens you need to take black beads, string it on a wire, then add one yellow bead. Return the working end of the wire through the black beads. When the required number of stamens is ready, the petals are strung on the wire to form a flower. The finished poppy bud is attached to the “stem” with the same wire. Leaves are added.

In beading, special attention is not paid to how to make poppies from beads, but how worthy submit your work. It can be formatted in different ways:

In most cases, beaded poppy making workshops pay the most attention to the design stage of the finished work. All irregularities, protruding tails should be carefully hidden, and the product should look appropriate and spectacular in its new place.

For work you will need:

  1. Red, black, green and white beads. White is used as a background for the main motif, so the master, if desired, can replace it with beads of a different color.
  2. Scheme. You can draw it yourself or use a suitable cross-stitch pattern.
  3. Monofilament or thin line.
  4. Harness design details: hooks, locks.
  5. Small sharp scissors with straight ends.

Poppy bead scheme to make a tourniquet recommends starting from the bottom row. To perform it, a piece of fishing line is folded in half so that one tip is about 15 - 20 cm, and the second is 50 - 80 cm. A bead is fixed at the bend, then one bead is strung on both ends. Next, the tips are connected, another bead is strung on them. According to this scheme, the entire first row is recruited. Then the short end of the fishing line is fixed, but not cut off, it is used to attach decorative elements.

In order to make the first row, only white beads are used. The remaining colors are connected to work in accordance with the scheme.

One bead is strung on the long end of the fishing line and passed through the outstanding bead of the previous row. It is important to monitor the density of the product to avoid skewing the pattern or breaking the line. In this case, the weaving of the harness complies with the rules of embroidery.

Like an artist, a master of another craft must have his own example of inspiration.

Flowers, how different they are depending on the season, and only in winter they are so lacking.

Finding an ever-blooming bouquet at home is very simple. All you need to do is learn a few simple beading techniques.

You can make beautiful with your own hands. And visual practical video tutorials and clear schemes of a step-by-step master class will help in this matter. Today we will weave the flowers of life - poppies.

Like any delicate process, beading is far from a simple matter.

In order to weave poppies, the following materials will be needed:

  • red felling by numbers 10-11;
  • black and green beads;
  • thin wire;
  • thread brand "Iris" - green;
  • wire, different diameters 1 mm, 0.6 mm and 0.3 mm;
  • threads for decoration.

We start with weaving petals. We take a wire of medium diameter, 10 cm long, and a wire 0.3 mm in diameter, 70 cm long. We start weaving poppy petals with three pairs of arcs, and after that two are incomplete. Each of the arcs should be located two beads below the first row. This method of weaving is called the French bead weaving technique. Thus, we make all the petals for our poppy.

When all the poppy petals are ready, we proceed to the manufacture of stamens. We make stamens for poppy from beads using needle technique. We take a wire 40 cm long and string black beads. We need to weave nine “needles”, which are then connected into arcs and our middle is obtained. Just two details.

In order to make our beaded poppies more like real ones, we will supplement them with boxes of unopened poppy, leaves.

We make a box of light green beads. To do this, we string beads of the desired color on a wire 40 cm long. The wire must be twisted in such a way that six petals are obtained. After they are combined with each other and closed.

Beaded poppy leaves, it is better to do with firmware. The firmware will allow the composition to better keep the given shape. For firmware, you will need a wire of the smallest diameter of 0.1 mm, it will look much prettier. The number of leaves that you can make for poppy depends on your desire and imagination.

We complete the master class by assembling the product. We connect all the details of the poppy from beads with each other. First, we attach the box to the stamens, after the petals, but at the end of the leaves.

Blue poppy weaving

In addition to the classic red poppy, you can make a sky blue - Himalayan poppy from beads.

To weave a blue poppy, you will need:

  • blue beads, it is better to take matte, for the expressiveness of the texture;
  • dark green beads, size 10. Also matte;
  • yellow beads;
  • colored wire, small diameter diameter. For your work, it is better to take green and blue;
  • light green granules, 8 mm in size from Czech glass;
  • green beads;
  • copper wire with a diameter of 1 mm;
  • ribbon for decoration;
  • gypsum.

Getting Started

To begin with, we take a blue wire, 60 cm long, string 35 blue beads on it and make a loop. After we make another loop, we only increase the number of beads by two pieces and continue to twist the loops. We increase the number of beads from 35 to 41. Follow the rows as follows: 39,41,39,37,35.

In order to form the petals of our future flower, you need to take 18 beads. They are strung on a wire so that a loop is formed. To do this, insert the wire with beads into the last bead. We tighten the finished structure. So we collect three beads until we get the basis for the petal. Having passed along the edge of the entire petal, we again repeat the set of 18 beads, going down. We fix the ends of the wire. In total, for a bouquet of blue poppies, you need to make 10 of the same petals. So four of them will lay out large poppies that have already blossomed, and we will put one petal on closed buds.

Here are the petals of the future flower ready. We pass to the middle of the poppy.

For the centers of the beaded poppy, take yellow beads. You need six beads. We begin to twist the loop, we pass it through the bicone. We fix the design on both sides with beads. The loops should lay flat.

After we take a wire, 60-70 cm long and twist the stamen. Make as many as you need. Wrap the stamens around the petal. To do this, you need to make 2-3 turns.

After the middle, connect with poppy petals. Details are criss-crossed.

But what a poppy without green leaves. To weave them, take a 45 cm long wire and dark green beads. To make it beautiful, those that will be located in the middle are weaved of three beads, and those that form grass at the foot of the stalk of four.

And so in the end we have six small leaves and six large ones.

We weave the bud with the French weaving familiar to us, inserting a bead into the resulting petals at the end and sew them together.

Here we have ready-made elements that can only be connected to each other to make a flower.

We cut the copper wire into three pieces of 20 cm each and three pieces of 12 cm each. We plant flowers on long segments, on short buds. After we connect long and short pieces together, for symmetry, it is worth retreating 10 cm from the beginning. We attach leaves to the flowers. For decoration, we use a ribbon with which we block the wire, we also decorate the stem with it.

Our beaded poppy can be planted in a pot. To do this, we take gypsum, fill it in the shape of a pot, wait until it dries. Color the form brown. Then it is necessary to dilute more gypsum, the consistency should resemble thick sour cream. After the bottom of the finished form, lay out the paper and fill in our mass.

After a few minutes, you can "plant" flowers. Hold the poppies carefully and carefully lower them into the pot. As soon as you realize that the flowers have fixed their position, release the bouquet.
The work is considered finished when the color of the gypsum turns white - this means that it has completely frozen.

Well, here is your poppy composition completed.

This is how we learned how to do it, thanks to our beaded maki master class. For clarity, in addition to the printed circuit, you can watch a practical video, which will show how the process of beading flowers takes place. If desired, you can make not one flower, but a whole bouquet. Such pleasant products will delight not only you, but also your loved ones.
