“It is exactly seven o'clock and 334 meters since we met with Lasse Matberg, and he takes off his wet T-shirt. Thor in the flesh stands before me, frowning, sweaty, and half naked. But 30-year-old Lasse Matberg claims he is just a typical Viking who lives next door. "It's kind of crazy: I'm just a guy from a small town in the middle of nowhere in Norway," he says.
“I used to be able to put my phone in my pocket, forget about posing as a model and go about my daily work, but now I can’t walk from the car to the cafe without a thousand people following me. Modeling was a fun hobby for me, I didn't go to modeling school. I watched "Model Male", that's all," says Lasse.
Lieutenant Matberg is not one to settle for little. The perfect date for him is a two-hour climb to the top of Mount Preikestolen, which offers one of the most idyllic views in Norway. It is located a couple of hours drive from the town of Stavanger.
“I used to come here on a motorcycle, but I sold it two years ago, which my mom is very happy about,” Lasse says.
Some time later, Lasse and the journalist ended up on a ferry crossing the fjords. The most attractive Viking of Instagram has climbed Preikestolen ten times already, and several times not on foot, but on the run. The height of the ascent, which takes two hours, is 334 meters. Lasse can cover this distance in 45 minutes.
It's hard to imagine that as a teenager, Lasse was teased by "Bugs Bunny" because of his protruding front teeth. “I was always a big boy, so I became the captain of the school football team, I was in the right party, but I was not popular because of terrible teeth. They were so terrible that I couldn't close my mouth,” he says.
"I got teased a lot in my early teens, and when boys start fighting over girls, they can be really violent."
“They gathered in a group and shouted to me: “Hey, look, a rabbit! You can't walk with us, you have ugly teeth!"

The Nordic handsome man shared the secret of the beauty of his hair. He never uses a hair dryer, combs his hair occasionally, washes his hair with shampoo and conditioner, and also uses a leave-in mask. He cuts his beard once a week and puts it with a matting agent.
Not that Lasse has thought about first dates in the last five years, but you can guess that for him, the perfect date is not a romantic candlelit dinner at all. "I'm timid and need a lot of beer to get drunk." He admitted that he does not like haste and prefers to calculate the next step in a relationship, rather than looking for another passion. He is a convinced monogamous, who by the age of 30 had only three girls.
In high school, as soon as he got his braces off at the age of 14, he started dating a girl and got his first kiss in just one night. And then a legend was born. His first girlfriend was red-haired and blue-eyed. “I was so in love then that we got drunk and talked about how we would have children, get married, make toy rings and play weddings,” recalls the Norwegian.
He dated his first love for four years, after which he was single for two years. He then fell in love with a brunette, half Norwegian, half British woman, whom he dated for another four years.
His last girlfriend was a 26-year-old blue-eyed blonde with typical Swedish looks, but Lasse says he prefers dark-haired, dark-eyed and curvy women.
“Most of all, Latin American women write to me. I would like to say that I have such preferences - dark hair, dark eyes and rounded shapes, but in the end I always choose the opposite, ”he says. Lasse also likes tall girls.
Enlisting in the military, growing out his hair and beard, the fitness aficionado developed a passion for posing for the camera. Lasse says that it used to be easy to check Instagram and put the phone back in your pocket, but now girls recognize him on the streets and stop to take a selfie.
Hold on, girls: Lasse is also a professional chef. If he cooked for his lover, he would make his own version of his mom's homemade pizza. “Just give me the ingredients, I'll get creative with it,” smiles the Norwegian.
