His Holiness Patriarch Kirill approved the "Annual plan for holding Orthodox exhibitions / exhibitions-fairs / fairs in the city of Moscow and exhibition events prepared by the synodal institutions of the Russian Orthodox Church in 2017."
The annual plan includes 42 exhibition events. Among them are the book exhibition-forum "The Joy of the Word", which will be held in twenty cities of Russia, international exhibitions of masters of Orthodox art in the Administration and the President and the State Duma, events within the framework of the Orthodox festival "Artos" and many others. The central event of the exhibition year can be called the XVI church-public exhibition-forum "Orthodox Russia - to the Day of National Unity", which will be held in November in the Central Exhibition Hall "Manege".

Representatives of many churches come to exposition and trade festivals in Moscow, wishing to demonstrate their own products. Private entrepreneurs and ordinary believers can not only see, but also purchase religious products offered by clergy. Usually, at the fairs exhibited the following products:

Past Orthodox exhibitions-fairs
In the exhibition center of Sokolniki Park, exposition events have been held since 1959, when the Expocentre was set up here. Recently, this place in Moscow has become the center of Orthodox exhibitions. In 2017, the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Center was scheduled to host 15 Orthodox exhibitions and fairs. The most significant of the events already held include:
- Exhibition-Fair "Forty Magpies", held as part of the Artos festival. The event was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Regional Council of the Russian Orthodox Church in 1917-1918, when the Patriarchate was restored. About 180 exhibitors from Russia, Ukraine, Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece, Montenegro presented church books, goods, products of monastery workshops, jewelers and icon painters to visitors.
- "Palm Week". The Orthodox exhibition-fair was held on the territory of the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Center from April 1st to 7th. Weaving products, products of foundries (bells), jewelry and art workshops were presented at the event. Part of the exhibition was occupied by masters of ceramics and woodcarving.
Some of the Orthodox expositions with the possibility of purchasing goods were held at the Olimpiysky Sports Complex (“In Memory of Prince Daniel”), VDNKh and on city squares (“Orthodox Easter in the World” on Tverskaya Square).

Orthodox exhibition-fair "Ringing of bells"
The Orthodox exhibition-fair "The Ringing of Bells" will be held from November 27 to December 3 in pavilion No. 4.1 of the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Center in Moscow. The event will be attended by both ecclesiastical and secular organizations. The main goal of the project is unification of the clergy and societies in the field of popularization of Orthodox values and way of life, the desire to instill Christian values - love, morality, compassion - to as many people as possible.
The exhibition will present the products of more than 500 organizations from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Greece, Georgia and even the USA. Visitors will be able to admire and purchase printed materials, icons, paintings, jewelry on Orthodox themes, folk toys and costumes, medicinal cosmetics and products, food products produced in farms or monasteries. The fair will present audio and video products, visual materials of various charitable foundations and organizations.
Before the start of each exhibition-fair "The Ringing of Bells", the clergy conduct a special prayer service, and during the event they monitor its assortment. Other Orthodox events at Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Center
In the rest of 2017, Sokolniki will host several more similar events that may be of interest to the faithful.
So, from October 2 to 8, in the CEC pavilion No. 2, an Orthodox exhibition-fair "According to the testament of Prince Daniel" will be held. The exhibition will feature monasteries and temples with a long history, as well as their products: icons, honey, candles, books, fine arts, jewelry and souvenirs. In the schedule of the event - the action "Ask a priest a question" - any visitor will be able to ask a question about religion, Orthodoxy, rituals and traditions of the church, and so on.
During the exhibition-fair "Christmas Gift" on New Year's Eve December 22 - 29 in Pavilion No. 4 of the Sokolniki Exhibition and Convention Center, visitors will be presented with the products of workshops of churches and monasteries of the Russian Orthodox Church. Guests of the fair will be able to purchase church paintings, icons, jewelry and items on a religious theme, bells, household items and interior items made by wood carving masters. Entrance to the event is free, and the city authorities are planning to launch a free route taxi from the metro station.
