The iPhone does not turn on and the apple is on fire - what to do ?! Reasons why the iPhone loads further than the "apple".

Friends, occurrences USB cord and iTunes icon on the screen of iPhones, iPads and iPods are quite common. In general, it is generally accepted that if a cord and an icon in the form of the iTunes logo appear on the black display of one of these devices, then this means that Recovery Mode is running. But not everyone knows that the cable and iTunes, in addition to Recovery Mode, can mean Recovery Loop, which is different from recovery mode.

In order for you to be able to make an accurate diagnosis, to determine the mode in which your iPhone (or other device) is located, displaying the USB wire and iTunes, we will describe the results of our research acquired as a result of the operation of these mobile Apple devices. And maybe even our meager knowledge will help someone solve their problem and restore the phone or tablet.

Recovery mode - normal

The iPhone or iPad is entered into the normal recovery mode using simple steps, the sequence of these actions is described here - "". To exit the usual Recovery Mode, we simply left the iPhone for a while, it rebooted itself and exited the recovery mode. For an immediate exit from recovery mode (what would not wait) we simply force . It turns out that, unlike the others, it is quite easy to exit the normal recovery mode by rebooting.

Recovery Loop Mode - Obedient

There are cases that after a forced reboot, which is used to exit the normal recovery mode, the iPhone still continues to load a black screen on which we see the cord and iTunes again and again. This situation means that the iPhone is in the so-called Recovery Loop mode. A phone or tablet is very often driven into this mode by iTunes. Getting into the Recovery Loop can occur for various reasons, for example, as a result of or restoring the iOS firmware. The recovery loop can occur as a result of a software, hardware or domestic failure (for example, accidentally pulled out the cable), once we ourselveswhen we tried to downgrade the iOS firmware version from 7 to 6th.

Why did we add the word "Obediant" in the subtitle? Yes, because it is still possible to exit the obedient recovery loop and return the iPhone to a working state without losing information, for this we used, some users with TinyUmbrella had difficulties, and we found a more convenient way to exit Recovery Loop using the program. There are other programs for getting out of the loop - iReb and RecBoot.

Recovery loop mode - not docile

If your iPhone or iPad gets into a naughty Recovery Loop, then, as a rule, not only a forced reboot is powerless, but the redsn0w, iReb, TinyUmbrella and RecBoot programs also cannot get the iPhone out of the recovery loop. As a result of applying the programs above, the iPhone continues to show the USB cable and the iTunes logo after rebooting. In this case, we did not succeed in avoiding the loss of information stored in the iPhone, but it’s good if you did too earlier.

If you caught a naughty recovery loop, then all that remains is to connect the iPhone to iTuens and try to flash it. Sometimes it is not possible to flash the phone in this mode, then they try to flash it again. As a result of the firmware, the iPhone erases all the information we made earlier. It happens that after flashing an iPhone or iPad, they are asked to enter someone's Apple ID and password, but that's a completely different story.

Lately, I've been seeing more and more complaints about unsuccessful iPhone updates using iTunes. Often, such an update leads to a complete crash of the firmware and the inoperability of the phone. The victims have no choice but to take their phone and wallet in their arms and go to the nearest service center, where, for a very decent amount, a specialist with a very thoughtful look will carry out “very difficult” work to restore the iPhone firmware. At the same time, not many people know that thanks to the foresight of Apple developers, firmware recovery can be done at home and this procedure will take quite a bit of time.

The firmware on the iPhone or “apple, usb cable and iTunes icon” has flown.

There are three main signs that the firmware on your phone has crashed or is damaged:
1. The iPhone does not turn on and on the screen you see (oddly enough) only a black screen.
2. The phone can be turned on, but the screen shows only the Apple logo and does not respond to anything.
3. The phone turns on, but the screen shows the USB cable and the iTunes icon.

Before proceeding, carefully inspect your phone. Perhaps the malfunction is caused by physical damage to the device, in which case the firmware will not help you. If your pet looks great, and there are no holes from enemy bullets in it, you can connect it to your computer using a USB cable.

ATTENTION! Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer. .

After connecting the cord, you need to simultaneously hold down the "Power" and "Home" buttons for 10 seconds. After 10 seconds, release the Power button, but keep holding the Home button.

Your computer should start detecting the phone, which in turn means the phone is alive and needs to be flashed.

iPhone Firmware Recovery

Before starting the firmware procedure, you must wait until the phone is completely detected by the computer. After that, you need to launch iTunes, which in turn will swear that the phone is in recovery mode.

You only need to click the "Restore" button and agree to the terms.

After that, it remains to wait until the firmware is downloaded to the iPhone and the process of its restoration is completed, however, iTunes will periodically notify you about this. In addition, the progress of the firmware will be shown on the phone screen.

After completing the firmware, your phone will automatically turn on. After that, you need to go to "Settings" -> "General" -> "Reset" -> "Reset all settings".

It is worth adding that if you are the proud owner of an unofficially unlocked phone, then with a high degree of probability you can receive the following message:

Unfortunately, the tricks up the sleeve ran out on this, and the iPhone 4/4S with modems 4.12.01/2.0.12, in principle, cannot be unlocked programmatically. It remains to either contact the operator for an official unlock, or use the Gevey Sim kit, but that's a completely different story.

Reading time: 4 minutes

One of the most annoying problems that happen with Apple smartphones is that the iPhone does not boot further than the apple.

When you try to turn on the phone, the company logo appears on the screen, but the system does not start. The error can appear on any model: iPhone 5, iPhone 6, iPhone 7.

Reasons why the iPhone loads further than the "apple"

 • Making changes to the file system.
 • Incompatibility of tweaks installed from Cydia.
 • Problems in the work of custom firmware.
 • Phone hardware damage.

The problem is specific to the jailbroken iPhone. Usually, to fix it, it is enough to restore the device, but there are other ways.

If the iPhone does not boot, the apple is on, the first thing to try is to restore the device to working capacity by performing a hard reset - Hard Reset.

Press Home and Power (on iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, use the volume down key instead of Home). Hold them until the device turns on. If a hard reset does not lead to anything, go to another method - system restore.

iPhone Recovery

The main disadvantage of recovery is the removal of settings and content. If you recently made a backup copy, then the losses will be minimal, but still you won’t be able to do without them - a working phone is more important. Since you are dealing with a software error, in order to fix it, you need to put the phone into DFU mode.

 1. Connect iPhone to PC, launch iTunes.
 2. Press Power and Home, hold for 10 seconds.
 3. Release the Power after counting to 10. Keep holding the Home button.

The screen will remain black, but iTunes will notify you that your device is in recovery mode. Click "Restore iPhone" to start fixing the error and updating the system.

After reinstalling, iTunes will offer to restore the deleted information from the backup or set up the smartphone as new. Choose the appropriate option, activate the iPhone, make sure that the boot problem is fixed and the phone no longer freezes on the apple, but starts the operating system normally.

Removing tweaks

If you don't want to deal with backing up data and restoring the system, try cleaning your phone from the latest installed tweaks or checking its file system.

If the iPhone does not boot, the apple is on, the reason for this may be the incompatibility of tweaks installed from Cydia. To test the hypothesis, try running the smartphone without tweaks. For:

 1. Turn off your iPhone.
 2. Hold down the volume up key.
 3. Turn on the device while continuing to hold the volume up key.

If the iPhone boots normally in this mode, then you should get rid of the tweaks that were installed immediately before the system boot problems appeared. Remove the interfering component, and the system will function smoothly again.
